Need help deciding what Trim to buy

Ok guys, I need some help, I know this is my first post and you probably see these all the time but I'm just trying to zero in on what I want.

I see now that the 24s all come with the bigger screen which was one of my major wants. I'm torn between buying a higher trim or just saving money and going with a Big Bend 2 door with no options. What am I really loosing?

My main purpose will be daily driving with some very moderate off-roading (at the most some fire roads, shallow mud, and beach sand). Can I get away without having lockers and Sasquatch? I plan to mod it over time anyway with a lift and aftermarket wheels. Aside from creature comforts and added complexity is there anything else major I'm sacrificing with a Big Bend? I'm coming from a fully loaded Explorer ST which I'll admit was pretty feature heavy but I feel like alot of the things like adaptive cruise and lane keep I can live without. I rarely used them anyway.

A friend of mine has a 2.7 Wildtrak that I've driven. Is the 2.3 a noticeable difference in power or is it negligible for daily driving and mild off-road? I figure either way coming from a tuned 3.0 its going to feel slower than what I had so I'm prepared for that. Initially my heart was set on a badlands but with the amount of off-roading I'll likely ever do I'm just trying to decide if its worth the extra money. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Get a Black Diamond 2 door. Great bang for the buck including steel bumpers, bash plates, and better bigger tires.

My two cents... actually one cent now with inflation. Go balls out and get a trim level that you DON'T need and CAN'T afford! Treat yourself and throw caution to the wind. You only spin for a few years on this big blue marble, so get an obnoxious, overly-priced, fat juicy Bronco with Sasquatch, 2.7, LUX package, etc.... the kind of ridiculous car statement that makes fragile, soccer moms grab thier small children by the hand and walk them to the other side of the street when they see you coming. Bronco life is about adventure and you left, "thinking efficiently" long ago in the rear view if you are considering a gas chugging SUV like the Bronc as a daily driver. I own a WT. Do I need it? NO! Did I want it? F- YEAH! Lock and Load and pull that trigger!

It actually has the tiniest tires of the current line-up, which is odd considering the gearing.

Now now, we can't immediately assume @StayinStock would identify as, "the man." Have to be careful nowadays about stuff like that, but...I have faith that the Bronco fever coursing through their veins now will bring out the entrepreneur and with enough lemonade stands, blood donations, aluminum cans and scratch off lottery tickets, they will be able to afford the best that Ford can manufacture. Plus Repo-men cannot "breach the peace" into a locked garage.

Lol for the record I could afford a fully loaded one no problem, but the question is do I need too? I'm trying to be practical and unpractical at the same time without making myself car poor. Is it worth making a 1000 dollar payment or could I get by with a lot less for my basic needs. I have other toys (bike/racecar) so really the Bronco just needs to serve basic daily life functions but still afford me the ability to have a little fun when I can't drive said bike or racecar (mid Atlantic winters kind of suck). The ST has served me well but its getting up in the miles and I like having the comfort of a warranty on my primary vehicle. Just want to weigh all my options first. I appreciate all the help gents! Given me alot to think about. I feel less apprehensive about buying a lesser trim now, just need to weight my options and see where I land. Hope to join the Bronco fam soon! Hopefully before Bronco beach bash in ocmd. (I'll be there either way, riding up with my buddy in his wildtrak if I dont have mine by then). Hopefully see some of you there!

I have a 2.3L, I haven't noticed any sluggishness on the vehicle, plenty of power, even the base model has 4x4 capability. Everyone who has commented up to this point all have really good advice that I would have taken if I was going to buy a new one. I'd just add that buying a used one would save you some dough and you might get all you want for a lower price like I did.

dollar for dollar ...i went black diamond in 2021 but now big bend with sas is a great platform to start with ,,,however black diamond is still the clear step if its in the budget

You have plenty of input. I’d say definitely go with the Fox 3.0 suspension - it’s what makes the Bronco a GOAT with that 10 speed tranny and for me, the 2.7L turbo is a proven engine now across Ford’s vehicles and response is much better ….IMO.

Starting to pile up all around the plant. And seeing prices coming down. Was deciding on a trim as well and was going to go with a Basic 2024 4Dr Big Bend but the salesperson had one and wasn’t a fan when needing to drop an additional $5k+ on after market wheels fenders, lift etc. to get the off-road “Bronco” look. I ended up getting an off lease 2023 Outer Banks Sasquatch with big screen, leather/power seats, 360 camera. Perfect everyday driver and similar price to new 2024 Big Bend. Engine has enough power for city driving and still fun. Didn’t consider any off road specific trims since I live in metro Detroit and the only off roading I do is through pot holes. Do what you can afford! It’s more fun making the Bronco yours with accessories than off roading if you live/work in a city. The even higher trims are obvious better but you’re donating more money to Ford. The higher the trim the more the price drops once you drive off the lot due to the limited market of buyers.

I have a Base Sas. I added full skid plates and rock rails from New Venture Motorsports, and a rack. Every day is off road for me. I have the 2.7 because we live at 9,000' and don't want my vehicles to feel like they are neutered. It has never left me wanting more.

Bigger tires, raised suspension, etc... that is for other people. Good on you if you want to impress others, but not my thing. My vehicle is a tool for getting things done, like a chain saw is.

Once again guys thanks for all the advice. I went to try and trade in on a Bad Lands last Friday, unfortunately the dealership way undervalued the trade on my ST (like insultingly bad)... So for now I think I may be stuck with it until I can sell it outright. Hopefully still joining the Bronco fam but a set back for sure.

So I'm looking at an OB squash that has a soft top. I have never owned a soft top before (well, I take that back if you count my 92 Suzuki Samurai, but that was in San Diego 30+ years ago) , nor have I been in one during the winter, so I was curious about why you say this. I'm assuming that more cold air would get into the soft top vs hard, but how bad is it?

They run colder, but it’s not too bad if the HVAC system is designed well. But note also that the lifespan of the plastic windows is reduced when winters are below freezing. Maybe someone with a soft top will pipe in about winter comfort.
