Hoooooly shit. I feel terrible for anyone that didn’t get out of their order. The writing was indeed on the wall. ADV handled this horribly, even if their claim is true. Zero transparency from them during this entire process.

I hope we eventually get to the truth, but rn ADV has zero credibility. Until proven otherwise I will believe APG. Because ADV has done this before under a different company name and they’ve been lying the whole time about this top with for seemingly no reason. Why wasn’t APG’s participation in the creation known since the beginning? They have a good rep in the Bronco community, that would have bolstered sales. What? A few weeks ago it was suggested on the forum, that a company called APG might take over production of the hardtops from ADV. APG being viewed as a kind of white knight stepping in. But the message above paints APG in a much darker light. This whole thing is so bizarre.
Not that I'm wanting to question veracity, but it's the internet so, is this for sure legit that ADV has officially announced the end of trying to produce the hardtop?
You'll stick up for the silent partner? Ok.Until proven otherwise I will believe APG.
That was based on what @Tye said in another thread, concerning the top that APG put on the Lite Brite Bronco they built recently he was saying they were going to produce. This doesn't necessarily bely that, it just (supposedly?) left out that APG was part of the process all along, something ADV conveniently left out, as has Tye, who hasn't said anything since those two (?) comments on the other thread. What? Idk what happened, but one we know FOR SURE has been lying. We’ll see if APG also did something wrongYou'll stick up for the silent partner? Ok.

Whose telling the truth? What are the facts? We have a long way to go, and may never know. A lawsuit isn't proof of anything, and ADV's definitely been untoward about a lot of stuff. Throwing that all on an unknown partner and saying they can't refund anymore might be convenient, or it might be true, or it might be somewhere in the middle.
Do you know of any official statement? I haven't heard anything from APG about this, just what Tye said and the fact Lite Brite had a top just like ADV's supposed top and they said "watch for developments" in their walk around video.Until proven otherwise I will believe APG.
Nope I don’t, I have interacted with APG and the owner before. It was all fantastic so this is a shock to me. Hopefully they make a statement soonDo you know of any official statement? I've only heard good things about APG, but none of that is first-hand experience. I do think it's possible ADV didn't have the skill to design the top, brought in APG, and when ADV didn't perform in some way, APG decided to cut them out of the deal. If they did file for the patent, I mean that happens (even in overseas manufacturing, you have to be very careful about IP). How much did ADV legally own of what they're saying APG patented? That's all to be seen.Nope I don’t, I have interacted with APG and the owner before. It was all fantastic so this is a shock to me. Hopefully they make a statement soon
