Buyer beware, our '22 OTB had 15K when we bought it. Clean carfax. We got an extended warranty.
Have had A/C issues ever since. Dealers don't seem to have loaners available if you weren't the original purchaser from their dealership, and run way behind in the service dept.
Better have backup transportation available.

Hello everyone. I used to work at a Ford dealer, and I understand how to choose a good used car.
Some people pay a lot of attention to the equipment, I would advise you to give preference to the body being in excellent condition first of all. If the car was in an accident, then there may be deformation of the body and it is better not to use such a car.

The strangest offer from them. I wonder how they will sell this car now and at what price. Although it is possible to come across some incompetent person whom they will deceive.

No different than any other vehicle.
Car, truck, suv .... sports cars popular with "young adults" might be the exception , Camaro, Mustang, WRXes.

To the future buyer of my used Bronco, let me just say “I’m not sorry in any way for its present condition.” 😎

I was looking at Camaros as a pure track car and I checked out a dozen and every single one had been in at least one accident (some three!!) and many had multiple owners. I would never buy a used Camaro unless I knew the previous owner personally.

Some Broncos are babied and never off-roaded and some are abused. I suspect those left mostly stock are probably the babied ones lol

I made a foolish decision buying a used Wrangler TJ with some mods that was troublesome. On the other hand, both my used CJs were stock and were great no issues.

I wouldn't have a problem buying a used Bronco, especially considering how many never go off-road. You could get one that never did anything more aggressive than travel to the grocery store.

Otherwise avoid buying someone else's mods other than minor things like wheels. Buying un-modded is a way to help avoid SPOTs (Stupid Previous Owner Tricks).

I hear ya. I had mostly given up trying to find a decent used BRZ, owing to the number I found that were abused, had "rebuilt" titles, etc. Then I lucked into a one owner BRZ, owned by a woman who took good care of it, not thrashed around. It's been a great car. But otherwise yeah, those type of vehicles especially owned by young males, they can get beat up, must be careful when buying used.

Lol, currently used is the only option. 😥

I've been eyeballing the Camaro market and noticed the same issues as well.

I've also noticed it is not difficult to find ultra low mileage examples if you're patient. They pop up pretty often.... gotta be quick on it though.

It's quite simple.

If you are worried about buying used, then don't. It appears you can afford new, so proceed ahead. I enjoy my vehicles more if I am not worried if they will work properly.

If you are almost sure you want to buy used, but not quite comfortable, then find your local off-road Bronco group. Ask an experienced member if they would have a look with you. Have that person do the test drive with you. Ask them if they would buy it and if it was a good deal. An experienced eye is better than a guessing text.

Agreed, I'd also never buy a used v8 MOPAR (Challenger, Charger, ETC) after seeing how they are treated out here.

I bought used, $25,000 less than new. I'd estimate another $10k in mods I probably would have done anyway.
I'm good with the many, many, many vehicles I've bought used.

I would personally only buy what appear to be a mall crawler with no signs of modifications except some bolt on parts unless you intend to do even more mods. I don’t trust suspension, frame, electrical and engine mods. And certainly not one with sure signs of rock crawling or muddin.

Personally with a vehicle like Jeeps and Broncos I would preffer to buy new, you never know what short cuts people take to install things themselves.

With that said you can save some money buying used that has some upgrades already. I would ask who did the upgrades and what has been done.

If its from a dealer, ask them if its certified used and if they will warranty any aftermarket items.
Sisters bf has a TJ that's got mix and match parts from YJ's and other jeeps of that era, although again, 90s Jeep w/90s parts, we don't exactly have that problem

Still, wiring for the electrical is a bit concerning
