So I took off by front panels on my hard top recently and noticed the bolts on the top weather seal running across the top windshield frame are starting to rust. I have a 2024 Badlands with a build date of January, only been 8 months so this is a little disappointing. Has anyone else see the same problem as this?

Also I notice that there are holes on either side at the ends of this track. Is this missing hardware or is it supposed to be like this?

I too have a 2024 badlands, build date of January. I have some slight rust on two of the bolts, not quite what you have (I sprayed some ACF-50 on them.). Also, I have the holes, so I don’t think you are missing anything.

Good to know the holes on the ends seem to be normal. I was planning on removing the bolts (I assume they hold the weatherstripping on top down to the windshield frame) and hitting them with rust encapsulator. I might just got down to the dealer or a home depot to figure out the size/thread pitch and see if I can order some similar stainless steel hardware on McMaster though.

No idea why ford engineers just don't spec proper coatings/hardware...
