  1. (Solved) Metal strips sticking out of frame

Ahh ok, thats good to know. I guess the installers hid them on the otherside so I couldn't see them. Was thinking about cutting them off but maybe I'll leave them as I might swap out the ARBs for another brand in the future.
  2. (Solved) Metal strips sticking out of frame

Those are ARB rock sliders bolted to the frame. I don't see any of those strips sticking out on the other side. TBH I've never looked at this particular underside area of my vehicle till now, after the sliders were installed. But when I checked the hardware there wasn't anything like those metal...
  3. (Solved) Metal strips sticking out of frame

I tried pulling them out but they wouldn't budge. They are also really stiff.
  4. (Solved) Metal strips sticking out of frame

As the title suggests I noticed I have these long strips of metal coming out of one of the frame holes. They look like welding material or leftovers from the frame fabrication process. Anyone know what this is or have a similar issue?
  5. 2025 Bronco gets new 2.3L EcoBoost engine w/ direct port injection!

I'm not opposed to using composites in a design but its as you said, it depends on the application. In regards to the example of the Boeing 787 using composites, carbon fiber reinforced plastic (CFRP) used on the 787 is a good choice when you consider the temperature, stress, fatigue cycles...
  6. 2025 Bronco gets new 2.3L EcoBoost engine w/ direct port injection!

There are a couple of YouTube videos by I Do Cars where he tore open the 2.7L and on both engines the belts had severe cracking. I suspect that thats just how they get, not because both engines were blown. If they look like that after just 131k then what about 200k and further? I don't know...
  7. 2025 Bronco gets new 2.3L EcoBoost engine w/ direct port injection!

THIS. I hate how my 2.7 has a wet belt for the oil pump, wish it was chain driven like the gen 1 2.7s. Ford claims its a lifetime component and theres nothing on the maintenance schedule indicating a need for replacement, however given that ins a composite belt seeing many heat cycles I'd...
  8. Possibility of Future Bronco Raptor R

Hey All, Now that CARB and CAFE are effectivley gone and emissions standards are rolled back what do you guys think is the possibility of seeing a Bronco Raptor R with a 5.0L or 5.2L V8 in the near future? Seeing that Stellantis is bringing back their V8 line up for the charger and wrangler...
  9. New hardtop rattle - seeking advice

@Ford Motor Company Same on my 24 Badlands, rattles quite a bit and I can hear contact on the metal pins above the switches as well. I think the passenger front panel is worse as it leaks when it rains and water runs down the inside of the A pillar..
  10. 23 Bronco OBX SAS - Whining or Howling noise

Yup, happens on my 24 badlands when I start her up in the morning and start driving through the neighborhood. Seems to stop once she warms up because I don't hear it when I'm driving through the company lot.
  11. What do you risk by disconnecting the battery.

I don't mean to necro this thread but I figure this should be stated for anyone who reads this in the future trying to disconnect their battery. You need to wait a minimum of 2 minutes after turning off your vehicle and electronics. Full instructions are in the owners manual.
  12. Rusty/corroded top weather seal bolts

Good to know the holes on the ends seem to be normal. I was planning on removing the bolts (I assume they hold the weatherstripping on top down to the windshield frame) and hitting them with rust encapsulator. I might just got down to the dealer or a home depot to figure out the size/thread...
  13. Rusty/corroded top weather seal bolts

So I took off by front panels on my hard top recently and noticed the bolts on the top weather seal running across the top windshield frame are starting to rust. I have a 2024 Badlands with a build date of January, only been 8 months so this is a little disappointing. Has anyone else see the...
  14. Bronco build quality

I will agree with the interior fit and finish just not being there on the Bronco. I can sum it up as loose, wobbly, or flimsy on my Lux package Bronco. The Gladiator Rubicons I looked at were noticeably better quality for the interior. That being said my bronco has a better fit and finish on the...
  15. AC Leak 2022 Ford WT

Do you know where the evaporator and evaporator drain are? I have a 2024 bronco and it never puddles water when the A/C is on and I live in a moderately humid area.
  16. Is this a Transmission issue at 400 miles?????

I haven't noticed the rear end buck up when I put it in drive, just an audible clunk. Regarding the lurching some of the others have noted, I notice mine does it sometimes in drive when in slow speeds or decelerating while riding the brake, almost feels like getting lightly rear ended because...
