Lose 90% of the electronics (2005 F150 XL tech)

Widen the fenders 2 inches, so the flares could be eliminated with minimum poke.

Half doors

5a0b8whb.jpg
I still think those half doors are cool. Two-door for the win again! They are available, but because it's after-market, it involves a high cost to purchase and a higher cost to paint. If these were available as a factory, paint-matched option, presumably at a reasonable price, I would be down. Bonus, the half doors would probably fit in the back, so they could theoretically be a factory option. Alas, the take rate would likely be too small for them.

I also would like a little more sheet metal flare, maybe so the non-Sas versions don't need the flares at all and the Sas versions would have the non-Sas size flares. But DOT regulations require tires to be fully covered, so zero poke is allowed from the factory. (And technically, doing it DIY could earn a ticket, though it seems very few states/police departments enforce this.)

I wouldn't be in the market but as far as a realistic wish list item goes?

A legit shade of orange, like competition orange.
Calypso Coral or Comp Orange on the Heritage 2dr is the only way my Eruption Green 2dr gets gone.

drop down tailgate with window that rolls down
Where does the 33" or 35" tire go? I don't think people would enjoy pushing that back up every time they need to get in the back.

bigger gas tanks for the 2 doors. I have to bring an extra 3 gallons on the safe side on trips.
This one is probably not easy, or I'm sure Ford would have done it. But, if there's some magical way to add maybe 6 inches to the 2-door without ruining the looks, that would provide extra space and room for a bigger tank.

full bench seat for 2 doors
It would still only seat two people, so what would be the advantage?

two tow hooks instead of one in the rear
I've got two in front and two in the rear.

off switch for the head lights and not left them on the whole time.
I think there is an off switch. But daytime running lights are mandatory now, so you're never going to have a completely dark front. The best answer is the automatic option. I leave it there and the only time I ever touch it is when I'm trying to signal idiots that their headlights are off (which is why a completely-off option is not good).

rear cargo cover
I think the four-door has this option. I looked at a DIY option for the two-door, but decided that there's just not that much space to be covered and there's not an easy way to do it. It's really only useful when the whole top is off.

gas hood shocks
Yes, these should have been factory-installed. I did this as a DIY upgrade for a reasonable (to me, at least) price. Along with this: integrating the radio antenna into the vehicle to remove the whip. Extra bonus: turn the mount point for the whip antenna into a mount point for a flag for off-roading.

Since I just got mine with everything I wanted on it, I will be selfish. I hope they redesign the bronco as a throwback to the 80's version now and let this version become instant classics!

But in all seriousness - ventilated seats for high/lux, and HVAC vents on the the back of the center arm rest for the back seat for all models, would be the two items I would suggest.

I'm still in the honeymoon phase, so I don't mind the clunky rear driveshaft (yet). I am curious though - the last solid rear axle car I had (05 4Runner V8) had grease zurks on the driveshaft that you could inject grease into to help it slide smoothly in/out with the rear suspension. Do we not have those on the Bronco? Different design altogether?

2. Offer auto 4WD on ALL models, not just on the Sasquatch package and the Badlands.
I think you mean 4A? All Broncos have 2H, 4H, and 4L.

3. Optional white top.
While I personally would have loved having a white top checkbox option (especially the gun portal one on Heritage), I think white, black, and unpainted are all worthwhile options.

Swing out mount like on the 80's and 90s Broncos.

No tailgate is just so annoying when you are used to having one to use as a work bench. I don't even care about a drop down window, I just want a drop down tailgate.

Bronco off road free guest for first time use
There could be a small fee to cover the two meals that are included, but yes, that guest fee should be lower than it is for a non-driving guest. I went to Bronco Off-Roadeo alone because neither of my potential guests was that interested in coming for that price. But, having done it, I'm sure both of my guests would have enjoyed it.

Man, I do not want to swing out a tire and drop down a tailgate every time I want to get in the back. I prefer the one-step operation because a drop-down tailgate has use only as a temporary table when parked somewhere. That's creating a hassle 99.5% of the time for a very small benefit 0.5% of the time.
