Which one is that?Bought on Wednesday and delivered Friday. Very nicely made and no slop when turning it. There are no sharp edges and the o-ring on the cap is a nice touch.

Mine is still performing like new after 30,000 miles and oil changes every 5K-7K or so.

I change the oil every 5k as well, it started weeping from around the o-ring

Just throw a new o-ring on it next time. I know that what you pay for these things should last forever........but
Looking at all of the different ones to decide on what brand to purchase so I do appreciate hearing of potential problems

Consider using the liquid Molly Molygen (green container). It has the CERATEC already in it.I just got dong doing my first oil change with my son. They were not lying about the oil coming out fast! We are talking like a fire hose fast. My son had the drain plug and I had the pan and we were ready and it didn’t even matter lol. Oil everywhere!
I put the Ronin plug in to make things easier and it went in just as prescribed. Very simple after watching this video on it.
I then used LiquiMoly Ceramtec and filled with LiquiMoly 5w-30 and a Motorcraft oil filter cartridge.
TAKE NOTE: The replacement Motorcraft oil filter does not have the black ends on it like the one you more than likely are replacing. That is ok and the correct part.
All in all. An exciting oil change and a little life lesson for my son.

I don't have a lot of miles on it yet, but let me see if I can grab a few photos.
The UPR plug has been on my Bronco for under 1000 but no issues. I went that route as i had it on my 21 F150 2.7 and it was solid for over 8k miles. I sold that and got the Bronco or I’d have had more miles on it. I wish i got the plug a lot sooner for the truck.

No weeps so far and I think I'll be able to loosen it and attach the drain hose when I need to change the oil without removing the skid plate.

I'd highly recommend against any of these enhanced plugs that require parts to be screwed into them to drain. I had one on my mustang and immediately lost the external part.
I believe the upr just has a cap to keep dust out and have had that installed on both my bronco and mustang and they have been great.
These style plugs where you can attach a hose are absolutely critical for at least my year of mustang because of how the pan is setup... First few changes with stock plug were messy to say the least.

I used mine on 2.7L badlands for 30k+ miles and now it's on my 3.0L Braptor. 7k miles no issues using the same old gaskets

Update 7/23/24: I've been running a cheap Amazon knock off Ronin-style plug for about 2 years now. No issues. It was $18 at the time but now shows unavailable.

I use a drain hose to make changes clean. With a pair of gloves I don't even need to wash my hands when I'm done. I've yet to unscrew the plug since install but I imagine you might need to replace that wave washer if you take it in & out often. No leaks in about 20k miles.
