Anyone recognize this rig? Seems like a lot of mods for a price of $69k with only 4000 miles. What am I missing? Also, I can't find an "RPG Stage 4" set up anywhere and the steering wheel in the ad is not the one on the list

I wouldn’t buy that thing if it were even $10K cheaper, and it should be maybe $18K cheaper. Always funny to see someone try to recoup on mods they’ve done; it’s silly really.

No idea what “RPG” is, but mods do not add value; they diminish it If they’re aftermarket. Unless you’re a mechanic, you have no idea how well any of that crap was done, the true quality of most of it, and the shape it’s in.

Looks to be more of a mall crawler, but it mostly looks like junk. I see they say Fox front. Well, what‘s in the back? Fiberglass fenders from aftermarket can have some interesting fitment issues, so that would be another concern.

Touch that thing at your own risk, and know that there will be a lot of risk.

So, this is my dilemma. Any Bronco I buy; I would want to add wheels/tires/bumpers right off the bat. On the non-Raptor I like the ADV fenders a lot

The Braptor is overpriced, and prices are crashing and will continue to, so don't want one of those right now. I like the new Badlands interior, but rumor has it that the 2025 Bronco is getting a facelift, so don't want to buy a 2024 right now.

So the next best thing would be to buy a used Bronco that has a lot of the big ticket mods that I would pay for anyway, so if a Badlands SAS is $63k new, makes more sense to buy a used Badlands for $69k with everything done.

It's really a tough question to answer because it really depends on you. I tend to agree with MadMan4BamaNATL, you almost never recoup the $$ you put into modding a vehicle. Typically I pull off as much of the mods as I can when I sell a vehicle and sell them separately. If you try and trade or sell a modified vehicle to a dealer they give a rats a** about the mods, as a matter of fact if you are really modded up they will probably back off. You need to find the right person that is looking for exactly the mods you have done and sees the value in them. I suppose if that Bronco is exactly the way you would mod a Bronco then perhaps it has value for you. $69k for a '23 BL with 4k miles is way overpriced. Probably the low $50's is more realistic not placing any value on the mods.

It’s your money and sounds like this is what you want. For me, it’s overdone and overpriced.

The Bronco would be for off road and baja use mostly, so how it looks does not matter as much as how it functions. The upgraded fenders and suspension will help with wheel travel and the steel fenders, well they are steel and will protect the body.

Good point, probably why he is having trouble selling it. If I move forward, I need to tell him I hate it all :)

Without a single mod that 23 BL would be $53K-55K new given how dealers have been discounting them.

Honestly, this doesn't seem to be a very popular lift/suspension kit and while it doesn't look like a purely cosmetic lift (which I would tell folks to avoid) who knows about long term reliability and what abuse it has suffered. If I had to blow $20K in mods for an off road mostly rig, it would be for 74Weld portals.

The moment ANY aftermarket sale AD advertises anything that is incorrect and has errors, I NEVER even consider it. It's just not worth the risk of your hard earned money. If I was going to do it all over again, i would still buy a new one or a very low milage STOCK one. Half the fun is modding it and learning about everything as you go along :) Although I do understand if you are a "well, I just want something done and modded the right way" - I get it too :) and if that is the case, keep looking around, there are so many out there and we are always here to help give advice on your choice! ADV Fiberglass does do some good work. But you have to have them finished unless you stick with gloss white. Hope they went with a reputable painter. Do they still have the original take-offs?

You don't know what RPG is? Lots of folks on here are running RPG perch collars. They are a pretty well known off road company for Ford. ADV is the go-to for fiberglass fenders for the Bronco

Home - RPG Offroad
Perch collar pucks are mall crowler. Most wheelers don’t do lifts like that; causes damage in a lot of instances and not good off-road. If It ain’t for off-road, I don’t care about it.

Much of that stuff is to make the truck look a certain way. Just because it’s expensive, don’t make it good for wheeling. Should be billet for the control arms, etc, but lot’s of places to go for those.

That thing is dope, probably well over 20k on mods it looks like. My question is if it has the HOSS 3.0 rack. Maybe haggle them to see if they can go lower, dealer normally don’t pay YOU when you trade in with the mods, but they sure as hell will list them to try and charge more $$$
It’s got the hard parts for pre-runner status even though it looks have only been a mall crawler
.

Idk, if you find any value on the parts, vs buying a used stock Badlands then doing it yourself.

If it’s what you’d do to a stock bronco I say go for it. Mods really translate to wasted money unless you find the right buyer. You sound like the right buyer. I’d down play the mods like everyone on here is doing and low ball him 60k.

RPG is pretty legit, big time in the raptor. Most of their offerings are fully adjustable and billet. I’m guessing since you’ve never heard of them you automatically think it’s not good. That’s not the case here. What do you run on your rig for wheeling?
