Hi,

I'm about to install a ring connection trickle charger and want to confirm the connection locations. Are these the right places? Thanks.

There are multiple locations on the Bronco you can connect it to, but yes... the ones you have circled will work.

Weird. I hooked it up and the charger is solid red which means it's not connected correctly. Are there better terminals to use?

Should work. Neg I connect to the tab with the whole in it just below your circle. Is it set to 12 volt AGM. I use a Noco Genius10.

i use those terminals for my trickle charger.. make sure your charger is capable of charging an AGM battery. I use a CTEK 12v/4.3A and it works great.

Dude, thank you! Wife asked me "did you buy anything during Prime Days?" and I said no, I don't need anything. Your post reminded me I have a CTEK on my Amazon wishlist and I just checked and it's $79.99.
Q - are the stock leads for battery attachment long enough to snake through the grille/front without needing to open the hood? I can always get one of the extensions if need be but don't want to order something I might not need.
Thanks again!

I bought the cheapo Motopower charger which I think is only about $13 on PrimeDay. The SAE eyelet connection wire is only about two feet so you will probably need to buy a 4' or 6' wire also.

Thanks, that's kind of what I'm expecting with the CTEK as well. Most of their add-ons are for extending the reach of the *charger* from the outlet with less focus on getting the leads from the battery to somewhere useful. They have only one option there and it purports to provide 19", which should be enough, but I'll wait and see.
