Funny thing, I spoke to a dealer yesterday in Pennsylvania and he said his dealership ordered a few Bronco's for test drives. Wonder how that works? Sounds almost like it takes away from reservations.

Also spoke to another dealer about a month ago that stated they had some of their employees place orders for dealer stock. Wonder how that works too?

Sure feels like some of these dealers are being shady already out here on the east coast.
It will not bode well for downstream reservation orders if they do not deliver to the reservation holders...The penalties are severe from Ford for gaming the system...

The 'preorder' will cost you only $100. If you see a Bronco on a lot for sale.....the OTD cost could potentially be much more than if you would have just preordered.

With certain dealers, your total cost of entry up until you take delivery next year would be just the $100 preorder charge.
Might be $500, even Granger is trying to confirm this.

I am sure dealers have allocations of New Broncos that they will receive. What prevents them from reserving a few? Each one will want to have one on display. And of course money talks. Perhaps an ADM of 15K, 20K, 30K, etc. depending on what someone has or wants to spend I am sure the dealer will sell if they have one one on the lot. And I am sure there will be a few that have reservations trying to make a buck or two by buying and selling- including people and other small dealers. I see it on the Corvette C8's- being bought for 75K then sold for 100+. Everything is for sale (well almost) at the right price.

He could be referring to the mannequin program where we're going to have a couple early for demo/test drives.

Or he could simply be ordering some for the dealership and using them for whatever purpose they please. We have plenty of parts trucks, rollbacks, delivery trucks, etc...that we own and use daily.

We have a good many employees ordering Broncos too. Don't know what they want to do with them. But we have almost 350 employees too, so that doesn't seem out of the norm.

I wouldn't have my employees order for dealer stock. If I did, I would make them buy it, register it, then buy it back from them, paying all their taxes and fees back to them. Then you can do what you want with it.
They will keep them at home for a few months and then flip them, my wife saw this at MB for the longest time - shady SM/GSM and they all made killings doing it especially on the big SUV.

That right there, is shady! No matter how you slice it. That is what annoys people around here. Would you then sell it as used? So we'd get the $2000 off because it was driven off the lot? Or would it be MSRP?

Edit: I'm not attacking, just pointing out how that comes off.
I dont think there is anything "shady" about that at all. What are you, a communist?? :ROFLMAO:

Also keep in mind though - Ford is requiring a minimum $500 deposit on the bronco. Some dealers are eating that cost as a courtesy to their customers but many are not.
Jeez, when did they say that?
