One thing I've noticed about the online parts dealers - WATCH the shipping costs! I was looking to get the plastic accessory cover for the top of the rear door $40 part (didn't really need it but I broke mine when I was putting my molle panel in), a new soft close mechanism for the glovebox ($30) and a bottle of touchup paint (from Levittown) I am in Westchester (45-50 miles away) and they were asking an obscene $75 shipping for standard ground (cheapest option) and over $200 for overnight. It literally would've been cheaper with gas & tolls to go pick it up myself.

Because some dealers have parts at cost and why would I pay more?
If you already know which dealers have parts at cost, why not contact them?

The dealer sold me aftermarket parts and they are not a vehicle dealership so they do not have OEM vehicle parts

All these people on here crying must like paying retail for everything. Nothing wrong looking for a deal and I hope you find it.

I don't think anyone said OP should pay retail. Nothing wrong with looking for a deal, but this thread would be pretty quiet, if not silent, if only those who found an OEM dealership selling parts at cost were allowed to contribute.

Here's the thing, everyone wants a good deal, and nothing wrong with someone coming on a forum and asking where to get a good deal. We'd all love to know if someone found a place that sells and ships at a good/great price.

But I'm pretty sure we all believe the OP is over reaching, but even more to the point, he presents like it would be normal for a business to buy current in demand parts, stock those parts, maintain a website, a warehouse, pay people to process the order, package it up and ship it off without making a profit.

People (and myself) are responding to what is either ignorance or entitlement - I'm really not sure which one but it's worthy of comment.

Like I said, I have received parts at cost for agreeing to have said parts installed by dealer.

It was not one that sells OEM parts. Sells off road aftermarket parts only.

Okay, what aftermarket parts store are you talking about? Are they primarily a bolt-on service shop?
Lift kits, wheels, tents, suspension, etc etc

I am pretty sure my dad who works as a service director for a Ford dealer doesn't even get parts at cost. Obviously he gets a large discount over what most pay but still has a markup.

I'm willing to bet your previous "at cost" purchases were really just heavily discounted.

But I wish you luck on your journey Internet human
