@LewyOnMars Wow. Is that just a bad powder coat job? A lot of rust spots popping up.
I guess? Now that it's drying a little I can see where rust is going to be coming through on the mount they made for the hi-lift jack as well. ARB front bumper, Fab Fours rear bumper, and Expedition One rails.. had all of them as long as the RTR mount (less than a year) .. RTR parts are the only ones showing rust (where they haven't been scratched). I could just be unlucky.. wouldn't be surprised 😂

All over the main piece of it. I was cleaning it up to get a better look at things.. some of it's a bit hard to see because of the water, but these pics give a general Idea, rust popping up through the powder coat all over.

Added the Bronco Dual Baja Designs Capable Bumper Fog Light Kit from SPV Parts:

https://specialtyperformanceparts.c...o-capable-bumper-fog-light-kit-modular-bumper

Company was nice to work with. Helped me with light choices, gave me a good Memorial Day sale price, and helped me with an install question after I received them.

I ended up with the BD amber SAE fogs that I attached to Fog light switch, and BD Sport wide cornering that I attached to an Aux switch.

Here are some pics with results:

After a long search and debate, I went with the Steelcraft Fortis rear bumper.

The finish:
Well bulit, I like the rounded look and bulit in license plate. It definitely look like it belongs and not just a bolt on....

The Fit:
Unfortunately the door just barely clears when its fully open. That's after shimming with a washer. I guess I better get one those door restrictors

I thought I saw on the website that it was limited to 90 degree opening.

Did you have any issues with the light for the license plate? I saw that on another post.

Might also be that it was still wet from the water .. and that it's thin .. definitely a powder coat though.

Nice! Question on the S8 - I'm considering one of these on a winch fairlead mount. I'm trying to determine the light output and it's hard to tell from your pics - looks like it's aimed high. Is the light output worth the expense?

Had a productive afternoon. Replaced the stock rear speakers and pods with the SSV Works 6.5 speaker/pod. Also replaced factory dash speaker with the Kicker KSC40. I’m happy with both upgrades.

The installation was a breeze for both sets of speakers.

Haven’t done the FORSCAN equalizer change yet; going to run it for a couple days and see how it goes.

This past weekend up at the Iron Range Offroad Recreational Area in Minnesota. A tree and some rocks made no more mudflaps and my nerf bars are simply in the way. I need some serious rock sliders if I plan to try those rocks again. Steepest elevation change was 28 degrees. Got hung up on the nerf bars on one rock and you can see how it was bent as I forced the bronco over. I had 5 grandkids with and they had a blast.

It is aimed a little high because of the way I had to mount onto the bumper. I can't aim it lower without cutting the plastic trim piece. It works great when in tight spaces (like trees) and it being a little bit higher than headlight height is actually nice visually. In open space, it needs to be aimed lower. That will be fixed with a new bumper hopefully in the near future. Here is the output specs:

https://www.bajadesigns.com/products/s8-straight-led-light-bar

I have the driving combo at 4910 lumens and a distance of 323'. If you compare to a pair of the more expensive Squadron Pros (3708 lumens and 266'), I think it is a good deal. Plus the s8 has an amber backlight feature.

Oh, I must have missed that...I did get a door limiter and have it set at 110°
No, I didn't haven't any problems with the license plate light

I took the doors off for the first time last week and had to put them back on last night due to weather forecast. Removing was relatively easy. Getting them back on was a challenge with only two hands & eyes... Will search for tips on making the next time easier.

Not that easy by yourself unless you have the door bags. Just be patient and take care.

First few times always seem like a pain, but it gets easier. There’s a little pointy thingy in the tool kit the you can screw into the bottom hinge bolt hole that you may find helpful . Tried it a few times, but don’t use it anymore. Just make certain you have the window down, if not, door becomes very unbalanced and unwieldy and much harder to get back on.
