Has anybody mounted @Baja Designs LP4 to the wind deflector extrusion bar on the @TrailRax TRMR?

We have not seen it, but our Product design department is looking into designing a bracket for XL linkables currently, so they will likely move to the LP4s next.Has anybody mounted @Baja Designs LP4 to the wind deflector extrusion bar on the @TrailRax TRMR?
I am curious if the stock LP4 bracket reversed would work. What is the width of the light bar cutout on the wind deflector? When I order my TRMR I may just pull my LP4 off my A pillar and test it.Is Prinsu making the roof rack for Trailmax they look identical. I ask because I know Diode Dynamics has adapters that work with the Prinsu racks to mount their SS5's in a crosslink configuration.

Not sure I am following. My understanding is the light bar attaches to the extrusion the runs the full length of the windshield and that the wind deflector attaches to. So if that is the case why wouldn't you be able to attach a single LP4 mount to that same extrusion? If all the lights are mounted in that same section of the wind deflector cut out they should not be blocked. The only thing I am not sure about is with any of the mounts currently available is there enough of available arc to be able to point them down so they are not pointing up to the sky.You won't be able to do that if they are similar because of the cut-out. I've seen some roof racks where the lights mount individually using regular surface mount brackets, but with these kinds of racks the light bar mounts on the left/right side, so there is nowhere for the individual lights to mount.
Even if you bought our LP4 Linked light bar we offer, the cut-out is not large enough to accomodate the larger LP4 lights.

This is the piece that I am talking about mounting to. I am still unclear why you feel there are only 2 mounting points. You would have the entire length of the top of the extrusion that could except t-nuts and bolts.From the looks of it, and how other roof racks work, there is a left and right pointing point for the light bar.
If you tried to install individual lights there would be nothing for them to mount to, as the mounts are on the far left/far right of the rack. It doesn't appear there is a flat channel on the bottom for things to mount to, just a left/right mounting point.
Therefore you'd need to use our LP4 Linkable kit, which links the lights together and gives you a left/right mount BUT they are so big they will not fit with that small cut-out, which is designed for what looks like an S8 or other slimline bar.
You could possibly do an XL linkable because Baja includes a mount that raises it up (you have to buy the XL Linkable kit WITH support for Prinsu racks, which may work with the Trailrax). You can see it on the right here, where the 2 bolts are. That end bracket mounts to the Prinsu rack and raises the mounting points up for the XL. With LP4, it has to go even HIGHER and since Baja does not actually MAKE an LP4 Linkable they won't offer it.
We're the only ones, that i'm aware of, that actually offer an LP4 Linkable Kit on our site. But we have no plans to create a Prinsu/Trailrax bracket because it's just not worth investing in R&D then we'll see in sales for that specialty application.

Trailrax should answer but based on the instructions that bar gets covered up by the lower wind piece so you won't be able to mount anything to it. The wind deflector mounts to the front of the extrusion and the light bar mounts to the top of the extrusion opposite of the windshield mounting brackets. This would mean you have the entire channel of the top of the extrusion available for t-nuts or carriage bolts. I understand that but the extrusion has 4 mounting services, front, back, top and bottom. The windshield mounts are on the bottom, the wind deflector is mounted to the front and the light bar/LP4 mounts to the top. If you had the cut out wind deflector the mounts for an LP4 should not sit any lower that the mounts for an S8 light bar they would just sit higher.That drawing appears to be upside down for illustration purposes. When installed the extruded aluminum bar is mounted on the bottom with the wind deflector on top, essentially covering it up.
