You didn't seem convinced.Try this one: 1FMEE9BP6RLA09170
It show part number M2DZ-7804338-BAE in ECAT. It says leather, but it also says From 11-15-2022 which doesn't seem correct if it's a brand new part.
HVBOM shows 2 completely different listings for it also![]()
Yeah the date listed doesn’t seem to make sense, but it’s all I have to go off of without an engineering number off an actual one.You didn't seem convinced.
Yeah none of us were. You didn't seem convinced.
Originally back at launch, the HLIP was promoted as a way to distinguish higher trims from the lower trims. It was slated for the OBX, Badlands, WT, and FE. It was subsequently dropped as Job1 approached. It has quietly made it's introduction on MY'24 Badlands.
It wasn't announced. Looking into a crystal ball, one might expect to see the HLIP make it's way across other trims. I'm surprised the Limited HE didn't get it first. I would expect the WT next. The OBX is a bit more complicated as there are two interior options, but it would still be expected perhaps next year or after the refresh.
Not my truck or '24 Badlands.Forgive me if this is a dumb question from a new guy. I've searched the forums for HLIP and it seems like it doesn't exist? I know the Raptor has a "unique" instrument cluster, is that the HLIP? You mentioned making a thread about the HLIP in your '24 Badlands, is that something you might still do? Otherwise, do you have a pic so I can understand what this new HLIP is that Ford snuck onto your truck? TIA
Sorry, the model year "MY" threw me off. Ahhhhhh, so HLIP is actually the stitched dashboard. Jeez, is someone trying to be intentionally confusing or what! Thanks for clearing that up.Not my truck or '24 Badlands.
The HLIP has nothing to do with the instrument cluster. The HLIP acronym stands for High Level Instrument Panel. Back at launch, it was promoted on higher trims as a way to distinguish those trims from lower trims. But by the time Job1 rolled around, it was quietly omitted and everyone received a hard plastic (just different colors) instrument panel.
The confusion lies in the vernacular. As laymen, we refer to it as a dashboard. Engineers don't. They refer to as an instrument panel.
The distinguishing characteristic is the soft-touch stitched instrument panel aka "dashboard".
You have no idea. Back before Job1, we were scrutinizing photos as if it was deserving of Zapruder film analysis. Then in April of '21, Ford had 2 pre-production Broncos that they drove around to dealers for customers to sit/touch a Bronco for the first time. They were a Big Bend and an OBX. The OBX should have had the HLIP as it was still a bullet item on the feature list. When asking the reps at the road show, the fallback excuse was that these were pre-production Broncos and not indicative of the final production version. Then a month later, Job1 comes and goes and along with that milestone so did the HLIP from the feature list.Sorry, the model year "MY" threw me off. Ahhhhhh, so HLIP is actually the stitched dashboard. Jeez, is someone trying to be intentionally confusing or what! Thanks for clearing that up.
Matt, is the dash face black or more of a dark gray?
