Drove to Oatman, Az today. Went in on the route 66 road with 191 curves. Saw a couple of Albino burros just off the road. Had a great lunch in "town".

Oatman is especially fun if you go with kids, because of how excited they get about the burros just walking around...

That picture was taken a long, long time ago, but the pictures @jzweedyk posted make it look like it hasn't changed much.

My favorite part, although bittersweet, was how many hulls of very old cars were long abandoned in the desert in that area.

Oatman’s a common Sunday drive/motorcycle ride for Vegas people to get out of the city. There’s not a ton there but parts of the trip can be scenic etc.

Wife loves the Burros and going through all the little shops. Don't bring a dog, the Burros think they are Coyotes and will kick at them. If you feed them, (the shops sell food for them) they can get aggressive. They also have a gun fight twice a day and a talk on the town history.
