Hi all!

After initially waiting over a year just to place an order, my order status has surprisingly been updated to “shipped” and expected to be delivered on christmas day after finally getting to place my order in April.

Ordered a 2 Door Cactus Gray Big Bend and can’t wait to finally be able to enjoy and customize my dream car.

If there are any must have accessories you guys recommend, i’d love to hear them! Thanks!

💪🏼🥳

I always recommend picking up a set of take-off OEM rails, they go for about $100 on craigslist/Marketplace, they are decent. If you find something you like better you can sell them for about what you spent on them. Takes about 10 minutes to install.
I've added hardly anything, but I did get the Toyota rearview mirror with the 3 garage door switches (Homelink), it cost about $125 and took about 2 minutes to install.
If you didn't get the factory tow package, the Curt receiver hitch is nice and also installs in a matter of minutes. The harness takes a little longer.

Congrats, you are going to love the Bronco! I had a 2019 Jetta along with my Bronco. I traded the Jetta for a new 23 GTI (which I did not like and got rid of it already, LOL). While I love my 2 door Bronco and it's with me forever, I do miss the Jetta. It was a better than the 2X it's price GTI was. And the Jetta got a whopping 50 MPG, which I really miss. The Bronco gets 22.XXX, only a "little" less, LOL.

Awesome! I came from an A4 and you’ll be amazed what an unrefined hog this is compared to a Jetta 😂

That said, I absolutely love demolishing potholes and speed bumps in my Bronco where my A4 would struggle. (Never drove my Audi on the beach either!)

My day 1 accessory is the IAG ez soft top lift. Mabett replacement door pockets are also nice because they’ll actually hold something. I wouldn’t go crazy on day one so you’ll have time to see how you use it.

I did the curt hitch myself and got the wire harness that Ford parts sells. You can pre-purchase the install labor for $120 and they’ll ship it to a dealer near you for install. Just make an appointment. $120 is probably not enough $ for what it’s worth so dealers seem to take their time with it from what I’ve read on here. Mine was a solid 2.5 days. But still worth it. It’s a super clean install and gives you 4 & 7 pin and they turn on trailer sway control as well.

They did a multipoint inspection found no issues and handed me an invoice for $0.00 and away I went. Highly recommended.

Fellow VW refugee waiting on my order to arrive ('24 2-door manual BL- January 8 production week).

Trying to resist buying too many things in advance....here is the current list of things I've already bought :ROFLMAO: :
  • Floor mats (rural NH - delivery will likely be in winter or early mud season). Went with Tuxmats based on what looks like great coverage. We've also had good luck with Weathertechs in our 4Runner. With size 13 feet and a manual bronco, looking for as much protection as possible
  • Rear seat protector (back of the rear seats) - ordered from IAG.
  • Front mud flaps from IAG
  • Front license plate holder from DV8
Look forward to seeing pics when you get her!

oh man no way! haha i always wanted a GTI growing up so it’s wild to hear that it’s worse than the jetta lol but this is my second jetta and i really have no complaints, but it’s time for a change for sure!
oh yeah not looking forward to that gas mileage but i have a very short commute everyday so i’m not too worried about it.. i fill the tank on my jetta once a month 😂

hahaha i’m so ready for the unrefined hog!

i grew up with a TJ, learned to drive stick on it, and knew that i would eventually get my own square box on wheels one day.. little did i know that it would end up being a bronco instead! these south florida potholes ain’t ready 😂

i’ve got a hard top but thank you for the suggestion, i’ve heard great things about the softop lift! yeah i want to just drive it for a bit, as is, and see what it is that i need before i just go wild buying everything.. which is really hard to resist!

Drive it and use it first before deciding what to waste your money on. Especially if you're bolting on a bunch of white-label Chinese crap to it and you expect to keep it more than 4 or 5 years.

One a month, WOW! I was able to go a week and a half in my Jetta with an 80 mile round trip commute per day. In the Bronco......well have to gas up every 3- 4 days! I have a long commute, oh well. I now have a Mazda Miata with the race package as my daily commuter to go with the Bronco. I shortened my commute time wise with Miata, LOL.
