Since we’re taking early 2022 and maybe the warthog or whatever it is might be a trim by them. Would this $2k apply to it?
Since this deal is for reservations placed in october and the warthog isn't one of the trims currently available I would guess no

Your build takes place by the end of Jan 21. That build is proceed and submitted to the factory at that time. That is when price is fixed. Financing isn't set at that point but price is. Now maybe if you changed stuff before the VIN is created maybe it would affect the price. Doubtful if there would be a delay of a model year.
Thanks for clearing that up for me , may have to make a second reservation at granger . I’m moving first one to Stevens

It's too far off to give an answer on this. My guess is that Ford is being much too optimistic that 75% of reservations will become orders and initial sold orders will be well under their estimates so all orders will be filled by 2021. I'm basing this on Tesla reservation conversions. If that's the case the point is moot.

If it does extend into 2022, I'd assume pricing would be honored as ordered, but this is new territory for everyone right? So I can't commit 100% on that.
Understandable from your perspective! That would be a bad look from Ford if they tried to up prices on 12+ month old orders.

Obviously I'm a dummy with this stuff but I know I read somewhere that the conversation period is targeted to be done by January.

That is a great question that I don't have an answer too. It depends on how limited the production of Warthogs is if/when they are released.

But my guess is a dealership in Granger will get their fair share of allocation if/when that time comes.

I am looking at moving up a lot in line come January when all of the procrastinators and fence sitters lose their reservations.
I agree. I think Ford's target of 75% conversion is wishful thinking. Granger's conversion rate will be high because they are specifically targeting enthusiasts. But for ordinary folks who were enthused at the reveal will likely have lost that excitement 6 months later when it comes time to order.

I have a question. Is there some reason why Ford is only able to manufacture a fraction of the amount of F150's that they produce? I know right now they make close to a million every year, so why is it going to take close to a year or more to manufacture 165k broncos? Did I miss something?
Because the F-150 is manufactured in two plants with both lines only producing that vehicle. Dearborn and Kansas City assembly plants

The Bronco is going to be sharing one assembly line, at one manufacturing facility with the Ranger. Michigan assembly planet.

It’s essentially being manufactured at 1/4th the capacity as the F-150.

When the JL came out Jeep started with the 4 door model and kept bumping back 2 door production. Took 6 months to get my 2018 - 2 door JL Rubicon. In that time there were a couple price increases (base and an option if I remember correctly). When I finally received the Jeep it was the agreed price, did not get hit with the price increases.

I, like Ford, wish that 75% of the quote requests I do for customers turned in to orders. But that's not reality.
I could see 75% of reservations from hard core, long time, Bronco enthusiasts and others that just really want one (me) turning into orders.

Thanks for the insight. I personally can’t see how Ford could ask anyone to pay more after waiting but they do seem good at doing a bad job.

3. Nope
Come on Albert!! As an X-plan member I am disappointed at the lack of extras I’m not getting here. Can I at least get a free sticker and a hug?

Ha I got too excited after reading through all this and finally made my reservation. Then realized it is still September so that whole 2k off wouldn't apply. Cancelled immediately and will make another reservation once October rolls around.

Question - am I right in understanding that with this 2k below Granger deal there is no advantage to having the x-plan deal? ie no point in becoming a member of Mustang Club
