I did the 2 inch foam at the beginning of the summer. Every soft top owner should do this. It helps greatly with the heat and the road noise.Added a 2 in foam mattress to soft top and used left over Kilmat for my hood. The mattress topper makes a significant improvement over road noise to include wind noise. I should have ordered a 3 in one as it will fit if you cut slots for the soft top metal bars. The hood sounds more solid when you close it. Have not tested it yet at highway speeds. Hopefully it will reduce that dreaded visual vibration at highway speed. Will report back if anything changes at 120mph…
UPDATE: KILMAT, does muffles the road noise in the cabin area a bit and does NOTHING! for the hood vibration at highway speeds. Will I do it again, NOPE, unless you have 45 minutes to spare while waiting for the wifey to get ready.![]()
