Added a 2 in foam mattress to soft top and used left over Kilmat for my hood. The mattress topper makes a significant improvement over road noise to include wind noise. I should have ordered a 3 in one as it will fit if you cut slots for the soft top metal bars. The hood sounds more solid when you close it. Have not tested it yet at highway speeds. Hopefully it will reduce that dreaded visual vibration at highway speed. Will report back if anything changes at 120mph…

UPDATE: KILMAT, does muffles the road noise in the cabin area a bit and does NOTHING! for the hood vibration at highway speeds. Will I do it again, NOPE, unless you have 45 minutes to spare while waiting for the wifey to get ready.

I did the 2 inch foam at the beginning of the summer. Every soft top owner should do this. It helps greatly with the heat and the road noise.

notice a different in the road noise?
Yes. But not a great deal. Maybe 2 db quieter based on before and after readings using a phone app. I think it is less echo-ey inside since most hard ceiling surface has been covered.

Added some vinyl decals to the interior dash Bronco lettering and went to get a Christmas Tree with Buck!

Where did you get the letter again to fill in the dash?

What do you hold up the topper with?

Why do people find auto start stop annoying? Honest question, I have it and just ignore it. Does it wear out the battery prematurely?
If you don't mind all the buttons to push that Ford thinks should auto default back to their positions , it's just one more useless button to push every time you start the vehicle . Along with setting your climate control , seat heater , turning on the cruise , setting the radio , changing the headlights back from auto , selecting your G.O.A.T. mode you last drove in etc.
It's like starting up a 747.
Just leave everything as I drove it last and let me go!

Put the doors back on.

Had them off since March but it has been to cold in the morning for the family to ride with so finally gave in.

I’m going to have to live vicariously through you. I can’t get used to not having doors on the freeway with traffic.

Swapped out the Hammerbuilt setup for the Turn Offroad one.
Nothing wrong with the HB, I am quite impressed by it.
I just needed something that replaced the stock hinges and was a complete system that is going to handle what I throw at it in the future.
Impressed with the Turn system so far, have their adjustable carrier inbound.
I like the fact the gate just becomes an “accessory” bolted to the reinforcement. All of the stress and weight is on the reinforcement and hinges with their setup.
The unpainted areas where the stock hinges were will be addressed. Not a huge deal but with the capability of fixing it and the paint on a shelf, no reason not to.

Mine is sitting in the garage still in the box!!
Thinking of installing this weekend.
Any tips?
I have the adjustable tire carrier as well so that will go on as well.
