Hey neighbor, welcome to the world of Bronco! Corny I know. :)

You should join the Georgia Broncos club we have here. Members regularly go to the North Georgia mountains for some trail runs.

Also, the Bronco Trail App is not the best in functionality, but it is good at identifying trails in the northern parts of the state and you can download maps for offline since cell service is a no for most of the time.

I’m assuming you have some basics and maybe done this a little? Comms, recovery gear, compressor of some kind? Even if just basic stuff, guys can fill in the gaps.

We’ve got a great community of good folks and we’re always down for fun and some good times.

Plenty of Forest service roads up in the mountains, that's mainly what we drive on. Also Cashes valley if you want to ford some rivers, but with all the rain they're probably pretty stout right now!

One we've been meaning to get back to is the trail head for Springer Mountain and the start of the AT. It's got a series of different roads back there.

We have a house in Morganton that we go to every other weekend and like to do FSR 35 and the other side of 60 has another dirt road, both connect to major roads and are about a 30min trip on the dirt. Nothing crazy, normal cars could do it, but it's a good starter road.

Appreciate it! Yeah, grew up in B’ham and did some off roading in cars not made for it! 35 years later I have the real thing! Will definitely join GA Broncos and look forward to good times! We did the Austin off rodeo but that’s it for Broncos. Gearing up but way behind. Thx again, happy trails!

Feel free to PM about any gear you may need. I’m no expert, but have made the purchases and done a good bit of research and have done off-roading for about 20 years, but no rock crawling or extreme stuff.

A stock Sasquatch is already pretty stout and can handle any Forest Service Roads with ease if the goal is just to get out on the dirt and enjoy the nature, fish, hiking, kayak, camping, etc.

Join the Georgia Group on this B6G forum:
https://www.bronco6g.com/forum/groups/georgia-bronco.22/
It's free - and worth the price. :ROFLMAO:
Go to 'Notifications' within the Group and set your preferences so you can keep up with rides from time to time.
Most of the riding takes place within an hour or so of metro-ATL in N. Ga mountains. Day trips for sure.
I'm new to it too, and have only gone off-roading twice now.
