Painting, ordered some Race Red and clear from automotivetouchup.com

Will post up some pics once I'm done but so far looking good!
Can you share detail of what steps are needed to get the D-Rigns off the mount ? How is the pin held in throught the mounts ?

No worries, you start with the covers, there's 7 clips that hold each one, I didn't need to use a pry tool, just a good tug at each point and they pop off.

That'll open up the mounts and there's no need to unbolt anything if you're just doing the shakles. You'll need a center punch and hammer, I used a flat 1/4", there's plenty of clearance either way, just tap the pin out.

After they're off I scuffed them up, primed, and spray painted using OEM Race Red and clear from https://www.automotivetouchup.com but you could use whatever color or brand, I just wanted it to match the red Ford letters on the grille so I paid to color match.

Their products laid really well and I gave it three coats of each but give it at least 30 minutes between coats and then let dry over night.

You can paint them however you like, I hung mine up between a ladder with string and a wooden skewer cut short which let me get all the angles.

From there just reverse the process and install them back by tapping the pin back in and popping the cover back on.

Easy peasy but if I lost you on something let me know.

This is awesome - thanks so much. Love the ladder idea with the wood dowel. Was planning on a few coats of paint as well. Also going to have a can of Race Red mixed up to match the FORD letter colors of the grill.

As much as I love the heritage edition. I am glad mine has taken so long to get built (still not built yet) because I decided to build this heritage ranger edition instead.

The wheels are the wheelsmith.net smoothies. The center caps are just a generic 4.25” diameter short length trailer cap. Custom made by me to look like a locking hub. The rear caps just have some vinyl decals on them.

My 2 door RR HE production date has been changed for the lucky 13th time! Its been sitting at 11/27 for about a month now, but has just been moved to the week of 12/18, which is the last production week for the 23 MY. Im a long hauler with an original reservation date of 9/29/20, so Im really hoping that the production date sticks this time, and I'm lucky enough to have my Bronco built before the 12/22 23 MY cutoff date. I know there are several of us in the same boat, so lets all think positive thoughts that we finally get our long awaited rides!

Thank you, when (Lord willing) I get my Bronco, I would love to do the same. Any chance you would be willing to make and sell me a set of caps?

Just checked mine and it says it was updates today and mine went the opposite way. Mine moved from 11/27 to 12/11. I would think they would have to build the ones already assigned a VIN as a 2023 correct? Has anyone been receiving new scheduled dates? That would seem crazy if they are scheduling more now with such a backlog before the end of the year.

Dang, was hoping Ford had all that sorted out. Mid 30s for a couple mornings here in TX and didn't hear any noise out of the ordinary. Now I'll pay closer attention when temps drop back down.
Happy to report that mine sat outside in upper 20s temps last night and no noise this morning. I have just under 5,000 miles.

Sorry to see Heritages with the issue. Really should have been sorted out by late 2023 production.

Just got my 18th build date, moving back from 11/27 to 12/11. Trying to keep positive thoughts…

@Ford Motor Company I know you never acknowledge me tagging you but either send the cancellation email or confirm you will build my 2dr Heritage! Quit dragging this out! 😡
