Was just looking at one HEL that was ā€œin productionā€ 7/18/2023 and still hasn’t moved to built?!? How can it be that slow?

Mine went in production 7/12 and I'm still waiting for it to be shipped. 110 days now.

Good grief that’s ridiculous I found one that went into production on 7/20 and is on a train now so super weird that group is sitting.

It's sitting next to mine that went into production on 6/29 somewhere on the back 40 where they forgot about them.

And no 3 door 24’s yet!

But that comment regarding scheduled order cancellations is going to create some heartburn for some I think!

It’s just crazy cause I know of others that went through after and are in peoples hands. Can’t be for a lack of parts, the one I know doesn’t have any options that would hold it up either?!? I wonder f there was an actual build issue they aren’t sure how to fix?

I don't know, I'm hoping Ford will do right for the long time reservation holders that were either scheduled or would have been. We'll see, they put themselves in this mess even before the strike.

Ford does not subscribe to the FIFO process. If a vehicle is missing a part or having a quality issue it’s moved to a separate area. They fix them in reverse order or so it seems. So if you and 40 others are missing a part and yours was the first one to miss it, you are the last one to get it fixed. Also, keeping the line running has first priority, so after they have excess inventory, they start working on units missing the parts. Look up dirt mountain or ice mountain, you’ll find all kinds of exciting stories.

Can someone turn each of the bronco bullets in to sentences for dummies. I don’t really understand the jargon.
Ford Bronco HERITAGE EDITION Bronco Club Ford Scheduling Notes - 10.30.13-2

1. Workers will go back to work at MAP on 11/2 but the agreement is tentative, it hasn't been fully vetted yet. If it doesn't pass they could walk back out

2. This is the sticky one, if Ford can't build all the ones they have scheduled they'll have to reschedule them into '24, problem is they were pulling price protection and private offers for '24 so those scheduled that get bumped could potentially lose big money if Ford doesn't change their stance

3. '23 production is extended until 12/22, this is a good thing and about a month longer than originally planned before the strike. This is good thing, see #2.

4. No Shadow Black Raptors for '23, all others are good and not affected. Edit: reverse that, only black Raptors for the rest of '23.

5. You can't order a '24 2 door HE or HEL at this time, this was the same before the strike. Not sure the reason except 2 doors are rare anyways and 2 door HEs even more so with even more special parts. You can order a '24 4 door HE or HEL but supposedly you'll be behind all those not yet scheduled or those bumped.

Hopefully I explained it well enough, just ask if you need more and someone will fill in what I missed.

That was great thanks! Unfortunately those of us who secured deals on 23 2 dr HELs that are really dealer allocations will likely have to make new deals for 24s it seems.

12/22 is a Friday so the Build Week is Monday, 12/18. I’m at 11/27 so that’s 3 more weeks I can be pushed back. I would think the Sept 22 orders would be scheduled before the mid 23 orders but will probably come down to doors not dates for cancellations.

I can say this for sure… if I am bumped to 2024 after reserving in 2020 and there’s no private offer + price protection + ā€˜23 Heritage FU compensation, I would not reorder. I would lose almost $10K so that’s just not worth it. 😔

@Lowcountry Bronco I am seriously researching 2013-2014 FJ Cruisers as an alternative. šŸ˜Ž
