Installed my Goat Fabrication sliders with the top plate yesterday. The one man install was easy with my two 5 gallon bucket helpers. The quality is top notch and they are beefy in construction. In todays world of instant gratification (a day and a half is a lifetime) I am very happy with them.
Reasons for getting them:
1) Keep shopping carts from hitting the door when wife goes to the store.
2) Stop door dings from cars that are lower than the Bronco.
3) Stop me from denting the bronco when I do stupid things that are not wife sanctioned.
4) Stop the stuff the mud flaps miss that the tires throw at the rest of the Bronco.
5) They were on sale and free shipping to SoCal.
6) They will help my little wife getting in and out of the Bronco.
On points 1-5 they are a success and will be awesome! On point 6 they actually make it harder. They slope is a 20 degree up slope and they stick out from the Bronco an extra few inches (requirements 1-4). Being little does not appear to be fun trying to get in the Sasquatch with sliders. Being 6'3" it is not a big deal. Wife's legs drag on them when sliding out and she has not figured out her new system for getting in yet.
As with all things in life she will adapt. And after the adaptation, the sliders will be a big win. I give them a double thumbs up.
