i didnt buy wheel locks... i purchased the Mishimoto Aluminum Lugs and put one on my spare. they require a different style socket to get them off that most thieves wouldnt be smart enough to carry... just food for thought. Between the Diode Dynamics Spare lug mounted light requiring a special tool to remove and the mishimoto lug theyd have to work to get my spare.

I too bought these lugs. They are light, great looking and certainly will make it less likely for a thief to bother to steal our wheels as easier options are out there.

Also chiming in, my badlands Sasquatch spare was stolen in Brooklyn, NY. Tbh, I’m surprised it took this long. Does anyone know the best place for an OEM replacement? Do we have part numbers for the TPMS sensor and rim?

The rims are $300 - $350 on eBay, but I did find these guys selling them for $215. I was going to follow up to make sure that it was the correct rim because they give both the Wildtrak and Badlands part numbers as a cross reference.

I never followed up because I bought a set of 5 tires and rims at a good price. It made me feel like I wasn't completely pissing the money away. Not completely anyway.

The tire I have seen between 260-300 new, but I have seen used tires on Craigslist and Facebook Marketplace, but not much cheaper.

The sensor I believe is a 315Mhz model that is around $50. I still need one of these for my replacement wheel.

Oh, and I had to buy lug nuts since they stole those too. I just bought a 4 pack of locking nuts, about $20

As far as new rims go, the Ford dealership quoted me $3800 for one Wildtrak rim, but I can go to the Ford performance site and buy a set of 5 of the same rim for $2500 at full retail. I don't understand Ford parts pricing.

3 locking nuts and a kryptonite bike chain. Hopefully it makes me less attractive. Bike chain was the tightest of fits and it would only reach on the bottom.

Also, getting the tire back on the carrier is really hard if you are trying to stay clean. (I didn't stay clean)

Rather than having a stack of wheels and tires for the next few years, I will make single rim and tires available to those in need. They are Wildtrak rims and tires exactly like my new spare, but with the center cap. Regular valve stem, no tpms sensor.

Alfa - I wish I would have seen this post. Had my spare stolen last Thursday in central Austin at 630AM parked in front of my house. I ordered a wheel off of Ebay (likely someone else's misfortune) and a tire from Tire Rack. Since mine was stolen, I've seen three more Bronco's missing spares - all Wildtrak's. Don't know if that's because they are the model I'm seeing or if they are being targeted.

A thief could still get a few gallons of gas from me if they catch me on the trails, but I empty the can out after my trail ends because I don't want to get rear ended by idiots in the city.

LMAO... I just left NYC, was born and raised there. Lived in Brooklyn since 2016, there was a time when things were improving, it's been downhill since the beginning of 2020 for some mysterious reason (insert sarcasm). Theft is rampant unfortunately. Hopefully things improve again but it's going to be some time.

Help me understand this offering as I think I'm going in this direction myself, especially given the black will match the Black Sas wheels nicely.

The product listing says "Includes 20 standard lug nuts, 7 locking lug nuts, one non-marring 19mm socket, and one non-marring key" So the install that makes sense is 5 standard lugs and 1 Locking lug on each of the 4 wheels and then 3 locking lugs on the spare I guess.

What makes this Mishimoto lug and key option unique or different from the standard Ford locking lug nuts and key that came with my Wildtrack?

I don't like how long the Mishimoto lug nuts are. From the images, it looks like they will stick out much further than the stock lug nuts.
