I think this one is gonna be long. I don’t have any specific information that would back up my comments however, this is the UAW’s first strike against ALL 3 major US manufacturers and the two sides seem to be far apart…

And this is why so many jobs are in other countries. We are nothing more than a nation of cross docks. Too much government regulation. To much corporate greed. To much union greed. I am all for capitalism, but I am also for having a job.

This is a targeted strike rather than a general one. Targeted in order to make the strike fund last longer.
If they really only have 2 months in the strike fund then one wonders what happened to those expensive union dues.

It's nearly 3 months, BUT... That is with all ~150k UAW members striking. The amount striking now is miniscule compared to their full membership. This is the tactic, make it last as long as possible, preserve as much as possible, and ratchet up the pressure over time. They have started very small really.

My completed Raptor is sitting at the plant ready to ship but the teamsters are standing in solidarity with UAW. I’m considering a one month brokered CD. I don’t think we’ll see the strike over but it’s definitely a gamble.

Does anyone know if replacement parts production is also affected? My bronco is at the body shop waiting on a tailgate, which was initially on national backorder until end of month.
