Hey folks! I think this is the one to beat for just over 300...

My review:

The winch:

https://openroad4wd.com/products/13000-lb-winch-with-synthetic-rope-and-2-wireless-remotes-panther-series-2-s-plus?currency=USD&variant=42546244157603&utm_medium=cpc&utm_source=google&utm_campaign=Google Shopping&gclid=Cj0KCQjwusunBhCYARIsAFBsUP-LYi5NcaCXwtSPmKmLXLkKSlJ4JWzZZ8YitGODVSV9IyLiOfqQw5oaAuv7EALw_wcB

Another discount code:

ATEMOFFROAD (it let me stack it with the sale...AND they gave me military discount)

Best of all the tech services folks answer emails quickly and kindly.

Nice video and impressive setup! With that bumper, it looks like the ACC stays in the same place and it seems to have a lot of air flow for the intercooler. Is there a camera relocation bracket? How much of your camera view is blocked when you relocated the control pack?

You can buy Ford winch plate for your modular or the JCR...they do add some weight, however...like another 40-50 pounds. The other issue with the Ford plate is that you lose your two inboard sensors (if you have them). The JCR plate allows you to use the inboard sensors. When I did the math it made more sense to sell my modular for 500, so my net new bumper cost was about 500. The JCR plate is 629, so I saved some money and ended up about 45 pounds lighter with new bumper setup. If you sell your modular you will be all in with winch and bumper for about 850...not bad considering the JCR winch bumper itself is over 2K shipped...

Working on that now...the view is partially obstructed. ACC works as it did before. I could either mount the camera one row of vents above, or move it to the top of the license plate bracket...I was just hoping to avoid sticking it way out there. Even so, the camera is nice to have even if if it will be sticking out. I thought of using shims to tilt the camera slight upward, but then I lose some of the tire placement reference benefit.

I went for it as well. I just finished the solenoid relocation and wiring. So far, it seems like a solid winch for under $320

Where did you put your control box? I went with top of fuse box lid, all the way forward...but the hood would have hit the top had I not shaved the box down about 5/8". That did it! It took some hack sawing and Dremel magic, but it was worth it.

I borrowed the idea from other members and went where the on board air mounts go. I mounted all the components to the steel plate that I made, then used the original cover as a cap over the plate. The wires all come straight down through the plate, instead of through the original holes in the solenoid box. Not water tight, but I don’t think I’ll be doing 4’ water crossings. I also added a master switch, since I’m not able to go off-road much with my schedule. I’d prefer to keep the wiring completely dead until needed.

Nicely done! I used the same shut off switch that you have...

Hugely tempting, and I know the winch debate is something that everyone definitely has some pretty strong opinions on. Appreciate the review and information on another option. I probably shouldn't be worried about this statement in the Q&A, but I just don't understand not having any phone support at all.
