So I had the Ford performance tune installed this morning at an ASE mechanic.
Drove fine for a couple times to get home etc. I fired it up to get lunch and I got a couple errors.

1. P160A (option reconfiration error)

2. U0403 (invalid data received from transfer case control module).

When I turn on the truck, it says service 4x4 and service vehicle soon.

ford app says “a powertrain or AWD/FWD fault has been detected.”

Has anyone seen this before?

@LethalPerformance - maybe this is something you have seen?

did you or he change the tire size or the axle/FDU?

tire size change requires using the tuner to relearn the AWD

Not that I know of. Can I check the current setting on the tune?

***resolved***. He needed the AWD system relearned. Easy fix on ProCal
what's the procedure under procal for relearning the AWD?

it's not documented in the procal documentation and i haven't done any of the tweaks that require it yet

I forget the menu name (I’m away from the car) but one of the preferences has a button called relearn AWD. It’s not buried in the menus, but just need to click around.

This just happened to me on my 2.7 while trying to get ProCal set up....is there a step by step thread on how to fix this using ProCal?

Connect the procal. Then scroll to the AWD menu. And select relearn AWD. That should do it.

take a look here around 6:00

Ok, got it installed!...the vid helped get the AWD sorted out!

My main problem was my laptop was not letting the ProCal4 download properly because it was blocking the download...went into settings and hit "allow all" and that was the culprit. Now I could save the stock tune and download onto laptop, then ProCal4 loaded on programmer....then plugged into OBD port...hit the start button (do not turn motor on) and made sure to turn off "auto start/stop" before starting ProCal download...all went smooth from there..

Just installed. Got the error after changing tire size.

I’m not locating the AWD relearn menu. Can someone provide further insight?
