While driving about 25mph with temps at 95 degrees, Bronco lost power and stopped running. The check engine light came on. All electrical systems okay and though motor turn’s over, will not start, acting like fuel is not being delivered. Is there a fuel pump safety turn off switch and if so where is it. Thxs

I don’t believe so. But there were several fuel pumps that failed for a period of time on here. Haven’t seen much about it lately.

Sounds like your fuel pump went out. It is more common than it sould be, but not wide spread.

Most likely going to have to have it towed to dealer and it will be down for a week or two while they wait for the replacement parts.

Good news it's a warranty item.

As for the fuel cut off...i swear I remember someone saying that if you try to resart N times, it will automatically kick back in (but doubt that is your problem)

How many miles on your rig?

Good morning! If you send over a DM with your VIN and Ford dealer info, I can look into your concerns on my end.

Fuel pump. Lots of 21 models had an issue, but they failed earlier than yours. Should be the pump and a module that will need replaced under warranty.

Sad to hear 21s are still dying. I was hoping this far out that I had nothing to worry about.

Ford will enter the chat soon to ask for your VIN so they can do absolutely nothing with it, but I digress. (Ha, I was right 🤣🤣) See above post.

Sounds like the fuel pump died. Several 21’s and 22’s had this issue. It’s a shame. Good news is it’s under warranty. Sucks though.
Geez dude.

The fact that ANY manufacturer even hangs out on a forum is still amazing to me. Not only that, but they actually just got involved, will create a ticket, and I’m sure the dealership will handle things even better than if the OP just went in.

It’s ok to be critical when earned, but this isn’t one of those times. If you hate the company so much, why not sell yours and get what it is you’re more happy with?

What I don’t want to see is Ford pull away from the forum which leaves guys like the OP alone to deal with these things alone.

What’s fair is fair.

Fair enough. But serious question. Has the fact that Ford does ask for a VIN and creates said ticket, has that helped anyone in the past? That’s not snarky, just a serious question. Has it actually run the request for help up the ladder?

Yes, that’s exactly what they do here and yes, they’ve helped several members to get things started at a dealership.

Of course, they’re not running diagnostics online on the forum, but they do help where they can and it’s much appreciated.

Again, I’ve never seen a manufacturer have a presence on a forum. Maybe others do, but I’m good with Ford being here and actually doing something.

Totally happy with my Bronco, it’s exactly as I expected, so hopefully the OPs truck can get back up and running.

I resend my post and I agree with your thoughts. Yes, I don’t usually see a manufacturer’s presence on many (if any) other websites.

It’s all good man. Trust that I, like others have some wants to be different with the vehicle, but overall, although not perfect, Bronco is pretty awesome for an off-roader that looks good also. Also feel the overall quality of the build and design is pretty good; not perfect, but it’s new technology that pushes things forward.

In contrast, sure a Toyota whatever “seems“ more reliable, but when you think About the fact that the design of all of their stuff is like 20 years old, well of course you’ve perfected something that only changes once every 20 years! Makes their stuff boring and outdated. Whereas this Bronco has pushed the industry forward and it has some very cool innovations.

Add to that, Ford is here with us, the enthusiasts and that’s why I’m cool with it. Coming from BMW for the previous decade plus, they basically ignore and despise the enthusiasts and the forums and trust me that did not sit well with me at all.

No what happens with this Ford account is someone from their corporate customer care team who has NO idea about your case will reach out and yes they generate a "case number" which means absolutely jack to the dealerships or corporate individuals dealing with whatever various claims you may have.

I had an issue with doors that were wavy and pushed in at the rocker panel. I replied to this jabroni account on here the same day I took it back to the dealer (third day of ownership), they called and basically told me to follow up with the dealer and then let them know the result.

I fought with the dealership and Ford for weeks and on a (now weeks old) new vehicle they settled on using bondo on both doors (THAT ARE FREAKING REPLACABLE) and the front and rear quarter panels to match it and then repaint the whole side to blend it in.

I said that is unacceptable and I called the Ford customer care team with my case #.

Their offer? To help reimburse me up to $800 for a rental car for the month while the work was being performed!

Don't waste your time on that jabroni account.

As much as that sucks to hear, sounds like more of an issue with a dealership than anything else and of course, how you the customer frames the argument. That last part I hate, but it does seem to make a difference with dealerships and how they treat these “cases”.

Taking your word for it on your details here, so wonder if they considered this a cosmetic defect in opposed to one from the manufacturing of it?

In the end, if their fix, let’s call it, worked and the door is still operable, no, they aren’t going to replace the door because then there’s the paint, etc. If there is a debate between Ford and the dealership on who pays, they certainly won’t pay to replace. A lean holder would have more issue than anyone else.

As for the account here, it’s likely someone from social media marketing or customer care, of course; they wouldn’t have a technician hanging out on a forum, so no, they can’t diagnose, but no one could. Creating a ticket for you to take to any dealership does matter because that usually means that the mother ship is likely to pick up the bill.

No guarantee that another dealership would have handled your case differently, but if the door is in fact fixed and you didn’t pay out of pocket; technically, they did their job and so did the person on the forum if they started the ticket for you.

Again, don’t see other manufacturers on the ground with the customers at all, that includes Jeep or Toyota.

I think you missed the point - this account on here cannot influence any warranty claims or any type of claim you make whatsoever. They are just a feel good customer care team that can toss some tchotchkes at you and maybe a few hundred bucks if you're really getting railroaded.

In no way, shape, or form are they advocating to the dealer, to Ford corporate, or to the individual working your claims case.

The dealer didn't build the bronco with dicked up doors, Ford did. The dealership also didn't deny the warranty claim for new doors, Ford did. The dealership didn't suggest bondo for the wavy doors, Ford did.

The door is not fixed as I opted not to have the bondo applied to a three week old Bronco. I sold it, and I got back in line for another one.

The person on the forum wasted my time in creating a "case" in their marketing customer care system to send me a few feel good things.

I challenge someone, ANYONE, on B6G who can offer a differing experience with the Ford account on here.
