15 lb Power Tank, Fire Extinguisher, MOLLE pouch:
10 lb Power Tank Bronco 2dr Edition:
5 lb Propane tank, MOLLE Pouch, Quick-Release bracket with fire extinguisher removed:
Here is the first Prototype of the 2 door Bronco mount. This will be used to mount a 5 lb or 10 lb Power Tank or propane tank brackets for a 5 lb steel propane tank or a 6 lb aluminum propane tank. A 15 lb Power Tank or other propane tank brackets can be mounted to this plate with the rear seats folded down or removed.
The plate will mount using the factory hard top bolts and longer bolts on the factory tie down points. The only modification needed will be to drill a small hole through the two "lasso" trim pieces. This mount will be driver side only.
Some feature call-outs:
A: notch in the top plate for access to the plugs for the hard top
B: MOLLE/PALS slots to attach bags or other accessories. The round holes are spaced to mount our billet fire extinguisher mount.
C: These are the "lasso" trim pieces that you will have to drill through to insert the longer hardware. There will be a spacer included to make up for the gap underneath this trim piece.
D: This is where the Power Tank will mount. We moved it as far forward as possible.
When installed, this mount will be a very rigid way to mount your Power Tank or propane tank while taking up as little cargo area as possible.
Thanks to Jim at Wild Horses 4x4 for letting us use his Bronco for development.
What is a Power Tank? Starting in 1997, Power Tank is the original CO2 air system for off-road. With a high-flow, high-pressure Super Flow regulator, Power Tank is the fastest, most reliable, and most powerful portable air system for airing up tires, running air tools, and more off road. A 10 lb Power Tank like in these photos can air up a 37" tire by 15 psi in about 30 seconds and fill 18 tires on a single tank. With no moving parts or wear items, Power Tanks are dead reliable and all come with a limited lifetime warranty. We routinely see Power Tanks over 20 years old so we can confidently say that a Power Tank is the only air system that will outlive the vehicle it's mounted to.
Power Tanks are refilled with CO2 at any number of welding supply, beverage carbonics, home brew, hydroponics, and aquarium businesses.
Our XP400 outputs 400 psi which is much more than any air tool on the market was designed for. To that end, we make our own line of Ventoso Tire Inflator Gauges, blow guns, and other air accessories that can handle this immense pressure. For general air tool use, our regulators can be dialed back to an acceptable input pressure.
