I have a brand New 2023 Bronco w/ MIC Top

When in the back seat, passengers hear a buzzing vibration rattle that they describe as very annoying.

Three of three passengers have all complained.

The source seems to be the middle/back seat roof panel with the sound coming from the back two corners (the driver side back corner and the passenger side back corner) where it hooks into the back section of the hard top.

Anyone else sorted this out or have any pointers?

I have a 2-door, so I'm not sure what yours looks like in that area but, I had some tapping going on so I tightened the bolts to the bracket the freedom panels attach to and the sound went away. Something to try, anyway...

Make sure the top 2 bolts on the rear cap are tight. This is right behind the middle panel. My hard top is on and off relatively frequently; just last week I had the same issue. I just didn’t didn’t tighten one of the bolts enough. Tightened it up and the noise went away.

Good morning! If you send over a DM with your VIN and Ford dealer info, I can look into your concerns on my end.

I second this. Make sure the top bolts for the rear clam shell are secure. I had some wierd noise the other week and that was the culperate. Additionally, you should check the weather stripping in those areas to make sure it's not fouled or rolled over on itself.

I had something similar happening with the front panels on my hardtop, went to the local auto parts store and bought some heat shrink tubing to put around the locating pegs on the outside edges of the panels. Haven't had any issues since, took about 10 minutes and $5.

Is it a vibrating, wind buffeting sound, or a clicking/popping sound?

If it's clicking/popping it's probably the locating pegs. You can put a little dab of silicone super lube or do the shrink wrap trick and it will go away.

If it's some vibrating sound. I'm not exactly sure what the cause of that is.

Thanks everyone.

I took off the Front Two Panels and popped the rear seat roof loose from the back clamshell and slid it forward (can't easily remove it due to the Factory Hard Top).

I grabbed my socket set in my kit and gave each bolt a little turn (~ 1/8 of a turn) to snug each up.

Went on a test drive with two passengers in the back who complained previously about the rattle and....

SUCCESS!

I'm a little surprised that the bracket is metal on metal vs having any sort of thin sticker foam to prevent rattle and protect the vehicle paint from rubbing with the bracket.

Thx for the Pic, I'm on a 2023 2dr and I'll give this a try.
