While not a critical thought for most, I just couldn't get past the two-tone interior of the WT. I know it is entirely cosmetic, but given that I see more of the inside of the vehicle than anything else, it heavily influenced my decision to get a 2023 BL SAS with Lux package.

With that being said, I am jealous of the Hoss 3.0 in my Dad's 2023 WT every time I see it!

Not that it matter in this scenario, but a big part of the BL appeal is MGV and washout floors, neither of them on the example you’re considering.

Good luck with your decision. I’m sure you‘ll be happy with either.

I thought the same thing but liked the inside of the WT much better in person then photos. My WT should be delivered mid July

Go with WildTrak. You’ll benefit from HOSS 3.0 every time you drive it the ride is way better. Swaybar disco can be done manually for a few times a year… and you’re less likely to break your tie rods or rack with WildTrak. No brainer
This!
A lot of people dismiss the ride of the HOSS3.0 that haven’t drove one. “Just add shocks” 😑
I felt the on road difference was night and day between the Badlands and the Wildtrack, tracked down a Wildtrack at MSRP and I’m super happy with my choice.

I'll never buy a black car. Not because of dirt, but because they are blazingly hot in summer, even with Ford's excellent A/C.

Over on that other forum, a review of the 4 different HOSS levels. Here's the bottom line.

The Hidden Gem
With four different suspension options available for the Bronco in various speed and utility-focused performance tiers, it is clear Ford is focused on checkered flags. While HOSS 3.0 and 4.0 are bright, shiny machined parts that steal the show, the hidden gem is really the HOSS 2.0 system. Neatly tucked away in the middle of the lineup, this suspension offers you an incredibly broad range of use-cases. Strength-upgraded steering, axle and suspension components net you a nice durability increase and the improved Bilstein monotube dampers wrangle an athletic suspension that is just as at home running to Home Depot as it is creeping its way through Big Sluice on the Rubicon trail.

A further highlight to this gem is the optional disconnecting front stabilizer bar. An incredibly useful tool allowing the best of both worlds, the sway bar allows you to maintain a stiffer street-friendly rate while being able to disconnect and allowing the suspension to move freely on its own off-road. A unique characteristic of Bronco’s disconnecting sway-bar is that it can be operated while under load, instead of requiring a finicky and unreliable choreography of movements like in the Wrangler’s design. Once free from its bindings, the front suspension is able to utilize its full range of movement, helping keep tires firmly planted in the dirt.

Whether speed or utility is your thing, Bronco has you covered in a way that no other manufacturer else really has. A wide-ranging modularity allows you to outfit your truck exactly the way you need it or how you want to play with it –– factory tuned and warrantied.

One thing you mentioned. You said you do not mind manually disconnecting sta-bar on the WT. That is not really possible unless you crawl under and unbolt it.

So, I thought I was out of the market for a new Bronco, but have found two that will work and the dealers are not that overpriced - the ADM fee is acceptable in my current situation (no car, rocking rentals till I get one at my expense).

Use case for it is tow behind RV, only transportation (full time RV'ers) 3-5 off road excursions a year that include rocks - not fire roads, but real trails that test the Rubicon a bit...not hard, but not a gravel road either.

Both Broncos have the Lux package. The Badlands has the carpet flooring. The rest of the options are pretty typical of the respective trim levels.

The comparison threads between the two trim levels are a bit outdated, so here's a new one. I'm looking at a Wildtrak or a Sasquatched Badlands, both with "leather" seats, hard top, etc. Wildtrak has the Modular bumper, front bash plates, no rock slider. Badlands does not have the modular bumper listed - is it stock on them, or will it come with a capable bumper? I plan on towing from the modular bumper, so it's important.

I'm ok with manually disconnected the sway bar before a trail. I'm also ok with putting skid plates/rock rails on aftermarket. The standard HOSS 3.0 is tempting - it seems like it might be a bit more stout, from what I can find, and the Fox shocks are a no brainer. With that being said, is there any thing besides the swaybar disonnect/armor/steel rear bumper on the Badlands to make it more desirable?

If there's a recent comparison thread, point me in that direction.

The only thing that matters is you need the MOD front bumper, therefore you must go Wildtrack. The Badlands Capable bumper would require you to remove the plastic D-ring covers to mount your tow bars. Those plastic covers are the home of the LUX sensors on the Capable bumper on the Badlands. The LUX sensors on the MOD bumper Wildtrack are above the tow mount and never have to move.

Oh geez another wildtrack vs badlands debate. I wish Ford would just add beefier steering rack/Hoss 3.0 and Fox suspension to the Badlands trim. Then you wouldn’t need 20 different Bronco models to chose from.

That is an outstanding piece of information, thank you!

Yep. Kinda like Jeep limiting the good axles to the Rubicon, so you have to buy all the options to get them. Let me option it how I want please.

I believe all SAS equipped models get the rear sway, although that could be different on 2 door models.
I'm pretty sure only the WIldtrak gets the rear sway.

The Mod bumper is available on every trim.
Yeah, it's just not on the one that's on the dealers lot. I don't have the luxury of waiting for a build, as I don't have a vehicle right now.
