Just gave up my reservation on a 23' OBX SAS 2.7l.

Just couldn't justify the price of it, in Canada it's about $80K, and I just can't get there to understand the value from it. Maybe I'll get one in a year or two with some miles on one. I could justify the base version if it was in the $50K-ish, but 30K more for a 5-7K in parts just seems a bridge too far.

I've had my name down on a Rivian for over 2+ years and should get $15K+ of value with the grandfathered pricing and the new 2024 GX would work for me plus it's being made in Japan and build quality should be on par with other Lexii.

Hope everyone enjoys there's and gets the 100% use out of them.

I feel this. My BL, lux, hardtop, v6 is about to hit the dealer any day and I am still having trouble wrapping my head around paying $60k for it. I just have to try and remember the average new vehicle cost in the US right now is $50k so it's not too crazy I guess. It just sucks I had to order LUX pack to get basic features that come on any $20k Corolla.

Then see if you can get it back. I have a feeling you are going to have regret down the road... the road where you see Broncos driving.

The price is rough, but it's the overall market right now. I feel like all cars are up there these days. A loaded Honda is like 50k so I feel like the price is not unreasonable compared to the rest of the market. A 4runner is about the same price as a Bronco. If you have ever had any offroad aspirations this thing is there for you!! If not..yes you will need to get over the fact that you are wasting the capabilities and features of the car.

Can you get one for that price?? I just built one on the Ford site super base model with those specs and it's $48K. And that's with no real creature comforts, which I think is probably the way to get the most value out of the Bronco, get it as base as possible.

In Canada at least, the cheapest you can get a 4dr, SAS, 2.7 is $65K, and that's super base model, which aren't really available.

If the new GX wasn't announced, I would probably still go ahead with the Bronco, but I have family that can get me a bit of a deal on the GX, and long term, that GX made in Japan, will last almost forever .

I agree with you not worth it. Id wait for something used, that’s a lot of Canadian dollars.

I can’t wait till my 2 door is paid off. $1200 monthly payment and 6% interest. I decided to go with a 3 year loan due to high rates.

I’ve been paying $850 on principle so hopefully I can have it paid off very quickly. My goal is by January!

GX is a solid choice and puts things into perspective. the new Landcruiser could be an option as well.

I was all about a loaded BD 2.7 sas for around $50k. I don't see the value in it now.

When you did your reservation? Not sure if Canada has Price Protection, but in US whoever did a reservation in the first few weeks got Price protection. My BL 2.7 SAS (Lux, fully loaded) sticker was $66.9k (USD) and I got for a little over $54k (due 3% under invoice deal, to be trasnparent). But from the 12k discount, at least 7.5k was from Price protection.

Car prices in Canada are just overly inflated relative to the national level of income. Tough to give up the reservation but I don’t blame you. Hope you find yourself in one down the road.

Honestly I'm with you and I'm a huge Toyota guy myself. We have 3 of them right now. I would choose a new GX every day of the week.

Unfortunately down here in the US where I live there is already a long line for the GX and looks like there will be decent mark up.

My rationale for going through with the Bronco is that they are the top value holding vehicle right now so if I keep it for only a year or two until I get a GX it shouldn't cost me much.
