What year is yours? Mine being a 23, caused a similar code with dual catch can. I had to remove catch can hoses from CCV side and replace with a new stock hose. Seems only a problem with 23 MY. Hoping not same problem with mine being a 23. 🤬
Mines is a 21. As for the catch cans from Mishimoto, it was a known fact they gave a code. It was a workaround somewhere in this forum.

Edit because I call the cans Mori lol. Could not remember it was Mishimoto

Mishimoto, only on the 23's. Hopefully Injen did there homework to make sure this works on the 23's. Eliminating the one catch can was pretty easy. Changing this back to stock not so much. It's all checked over and reset. I will see what happens.🤞

Check all your hose clamps. shake and try to pull them off and see if they move. If they move its not tight enough itll throw a code. check sensors and clean them. Also, heard some folks with the 2.3 broke a y shaped vaccum line which caused a leak.

Checked all connections. Everything looks good. Reset code. Wait and see.🫤🤞

if you have a reader you should get the code checked. but most likely its from something being loose or not plugged in

In addition to perhaps questionable power gains without supporting modifications I dread a potential CEL or other fault from the apparently very sensitive sensors and then subsequent surreptitious reporting back to the Ford mothership of my tinkering leading to potential warranty repair declinations of coverage. But I’m a puss so oh well.

Injen is the only manufacturer that designed their intake tubes that go all the way to the turbos. Our competition did not go all the way to the turbos because they couldn't figure out the vacuum port for the crank case pressure sensor which caused their kits to throw check engine lights. This is the main reason why our competition stops before the turbos and thus leaving that restriction point at the turbo and hurting power output.

Our engineering team designed our own version of the OE vacuum port to match our improved airflow and had it injected molded for a precision fit on our intake tubes. This allowed us to remove that major choking point right at the turbos and provided us with the additional power on the 2.7L that our competition just can't match (until they copy us that is).
What year is yours? Mine is a 23. Here is the code. We pulled lubricated and reattached the CCV tube and reset code.🤞

I wonder if the guys who work at Ford can tell us what might have changed between the 22s and 23s. Sounds like, at a minimum, they have trimmed down tolerances in the ECU.

Talking to a mechanic there this morning, he didn't know, but said that is a good possibility. I am driving around with a light on .🫤 I ordered another new CCV tube this morning, just in case the connection on the other one is compromised at all. Will have it tomorrow. Also the person who installed will be able to do a smoke test tomorrow and look for any leaking. Other than that, I don't know what else to do except either but the performance tune which will change parameters or go back to stock. 🫤

I'd think you'd be able to feel it with the engine running if there was truly any leak by.

Maybe have someone rev the engine while you’re poking around

Hey Ninjak,

Great post, and funny too. I had much difficulty with the one turbo on the 2.3L engine, so I can only imagine double the difficulty with the two turbos. Good for you to persevere and get it done. It will definitely be worth it in the long run!

We are going to go over it again tomorrow. He said he will have a way to smoke test it. Injen says they will have a 23 in next week to do install video and testing on. They are having me send pictures. They are thinking CCV tube connections. Mainly the one down low. I tend to agree. I have sent them several pictures, hard to get camera down there. Might just be the 23 is too sensitive to this change. If so, Houston we have a problem.😳
