I took my Wildtrak to a KOI dirt drag race last week and faired pretty well! I won the street gas class which wasn't hard with 3 entries, 2 being old chevys. I raced 2 diesel trucks in practice and hung with them. Not bad for a stock Bronco. I got beat by an old tacoma 5 speed. He could just dump the clutch and launch way better than the auto bronco ever could. I beat him once... maybe his clutch got hot and was slipping I'm not sure. In the end I had alot of fun! Which is the main reason I bought a Bronco!

Looked like he launched prematurely and red lighted.

He bumped forward and red light came on. I tried not paying attention to his tree. My light turned green and I went!

Put Bronco in 2nd gear to launch. After it comes off of the line, bump it to drive.

That's what I did. Baja Mode, 2nd gear spools to 6-7psi and go. I didn't have to shift out of 2nd. the finish line was short enough that it was right at the top of 2nd.

Launch in 2nd gear in 4A. Brake boost to 2.5-3K RPM and then throw it into drive when you get going. You’d be surprised how much harder she launches when you don’t have to deal with the torque management in 1st gear.

Not sure if you’ve looked at installing an inline pedal commander, but it would definitely help with the initial off-the-line acceleration. I love my pedal commander on my 2dr badlands. You’re still going to run out of first gear pretty quick though haha.

I have a BMS pedal booster and it doesn’t help when it comes to torque management. 1st gear launching is turd city. Currently the Ford performance tune is the best option to alleviate the torque management issue, but when the ECM is cracked the real fun will begin.

That's what I did. except in Baja mode and 4 wheel drive with advanced track off. it spooled to over 6psi of boost but I didn't pay attention to what the rpms were, I was watching the tree 😂
