I'm curious if anyone has removed the beauty ring and just left it off. You'll need to add some bolts to all of the holes, but I kind of like the look of it.

I left mine off as my rings were getting powder coated. I didn’t mind the look but prefer the rings. No harm in leaving them off as they are just for aesthetics. As you mentioned, you’ll want to install the bolts at minimum to keep the holes free of debris.

Don’t take them off. Lots of people experience the bolts cross treaded from the factory. Two of mine were cross treaded and two of my wheels were silver behind the ring. It was such a pain.

I didn't have a single cross threaded bolt out of all 5 wheels. I did however have blotchy silver showing and it would have looked terrible.

Do you mind sharing what you paid for the (5) powder coated? Thanks!

There is a different thread that talks to this as well... I took the rings to my powder coater and he was worried about removing whatever is on the rings prior to coating them and damaging the aluminum.. He was going to charge $40 each.

In that other thread someone talked about HyperDip and spray painting the rings... seems like a cost effective method worth a try... $50 later I am pretty happy.

I have about 1k miles on them and they are great.

Man, I feel like the beauty rings are a signature aspect of a SAS Bronco.
I agree... they are just too bright...

FYI regarding the cross threading... since I have had all of them on and off twice I can see how they can get cross threaded, but as long as you know what you are doing, I didn't have any problems.
