Can the factory rear amp be used to power a new sub, possibly stinger gate mounted option?

I've seen at least one guy that powered an 8" kicker with the factory amp.
You'll have to modify the sub enclosure a bit but a 6.75" kicker fits right in with no modification.

It can be used I'm sure but would be severely underpowered.
Is there a way to use power line from factory amp to instead power a new amp in that same location? Trying to avoid running new independent power line from the battery.

I wouldn’t want to use the power for the factory amp but I suppose it would matter what amp you are putting in. Are you trying to avoid cost or something?

Any proper amp will require power direct to battery. If you're not interested in doing that I would recommend the fusion app with the kicker 6.75-in subwoofer.

@Silence is correct.

The factory amp has a 12-gauge wire I believe... so... that's probably enough to power a 200 watt amp... maybe a 250 watt amp if you feel like pushing it.

If you are doing a tailgate sub, you're looking at a 400+ watt amp (should be much more)... and the only way you are doing that is by running a 8 gauge wire from the battery to the back.

generally not
you need a 5 channel amp 2 for front 2 for back another for sub
also a sound processor will help
and try mti acoustic for tail gate sub slim 10 bigger box or slim 12 smaller box
