My theory is the $2,500 Order Modification Certificate is overriding all the other price protection certificates. My dealer seems to be saying and seeing the same thing.
Same here, Wildtrac ordered 10-14-21 only change was dropping LUX as Ford requested. Got scheduled and they gave me a certificate number saying the amount was $2500???

In case this helps anyone, I found this in an email from Ford to me dated June 25, 2021, if you reserved before then you should have a similar email you could show your dealer.

Thanks for all the information. How can we trust that a dealer will pass this check along to the customers?
That is entirely between you and your dealer.

The best way to handle it is to have you and your dealer sign a Purchase Agreement or Buyer's Order at the time you place the order. That will list the final selling price of the vehicle (not the MSRP, but the final selling price), as well as any dealer's fees, and extra options. Basically everything except taxes and registration fees... since those are controlled by the state government and not you nor the dealer.

If you've already submitted an order... well... hopefully you picked a good dealer.

Ragnarkon - How long does it take to see in Visions once the sale is reported and how long does it take to update the Dealers Payment Statement - on an average?
Not sure about visions but the money will show up on the dealer payment statement 45-60 days. It will have the credit amount with the deal vin number.

Getting jerked around by my dealer. They are saying private offer has replaced price protection, it’s a matter of renaming the program. They can apply either, or, but not both to final sale price.

I’ve called the Ford hotline to no avail. I don’t want to walk away from the vehicle, I have been waiting for so long.

What recourse, if any, do I have to pursue price protection after the sale?

Did you provide the 23 flow chart showing the prices along the timeline? Did your dealer dispute that information?

The information needs to be found by the dealer through their own websites/resources.

I can’t just say “look at this picture from a forum.”

Understood, I plan on taking everything I can find in regards to pricing information and price protection when it's time to do the paperwork. As stated in previous post some dealers will only look as deep as they need too, better to have as much information available as possible.

I’m following all of this conversation as I’m getting ready to purchase mine next week. My price jumped up with the two price increases but i have my paper copy from the ‘23 conversion so i “should” get my ‘22 price plus get my $2845 knocked off as well but it will most likely be a battle. I didn’t make any changes since the conversion. We will see how it goes but even the very nice lady on the ford hotline confirmed this.

Did the nice lady give you your certificate number? That is the number you'll need when you do the paper work at the Dealers.

She confirmed it. I actually acquired that a while ago from another nice lady on the phone. They both said once you have that number, you are guaranteed that amount. Getting the dealer to not charge the price increases this year is another story. The dealer knows the “rules” but they don’t have to honor it. She advised to contact the district manager if the salesman seems/acts uneducated about price protection. She said 100% for sure the district manager knows the process but the salesman should as well.

Good luck on your deal. It really just comes down to the dealer. They were able to find my private offer, No problem. But the price protection, nothing…

Final word from the general manager was again, they can apply either the private offer OR the price protection, but not both.

Thanks and that’s unfortunate they wouldn’t honor the price protection. It’s just more money in their pocket. My price has gone up $4200 since the conversion last fall. That would be full profit for the dealer.
