Help me understand this. I ordered my Black Diamond 2 door on 12/15/21 and the only major change I made was to go from the 2.7 auto to the 2.3 MT in February of 2022. My dealer says (ugh) the only see $2,500 in price protection in the system. I called Ford and they gave me a cert number and confirmed the same amount under program 32066. According to the flow chart, I should have a total of $5,750 of price protection ($2,350 + $2,000 + $1,400).
What gives?
My theory is the $2,500 Order Modification Certificate is overriding all the other price protection certificates. My dealer seems to be saying and seeing the same thing.

My theory is the $2,500 Order Modification Certificate is overriding all the other price protection certificates. My dealer seems to be saying and seeing the same thing.
This became a concern of mine after VIN receipt last Thurs. Friday I stopped at dealership to inquire what they (dealer) thought i had in price protection. As was advertised in OPs post, the only listed (attached to the order in the system) protection was for me, 1/3/2022 walk-in order, $2450 Column B. He acted like "well there it is, that's what you have". I said, no should be $5700 and we compared my original 1/3/2022 signed by both of us Dora subtracted from my current scheduled to build DORA 2023 price. $5700 is $120 less than my original MSRP. He asked how I came to this number and I read the guide to him, making reference to the columns and then the final two (non-column) Feb/March 2023 price increases. He said the guide sounds convincing and makes sense, "I will follow-up with my corporate sales rep".

He also stated that usually any and all price protections, program deals, etc. are "just shown here" pointing to the computer screen in reference to the program certificate found in column A/B (B for me at $2450).

This has me somewhat concerned. Personally, I think that most dealers are used to a somewhat easy button that in the past (pre-Covid) there was likely one price protection agreement/triggered event to deal with.

This current 2-3 years worth of Price Protection to the end of 2023 is some extra work for the car dealers as Ford is likely not following up to ensure dealer acknowledgement/understanding of what was likely one email for the needed "retail" price protection portions "to be handled by the dealer".

Once My build hits production week and my window sticker is published, I will be bird dogging him for this $5700 total status. Hoping to have this fully sorted before/by delivery and paperwork signing. Fingers crossed!

Good luck everyone and any assistance from anyone going/gone through the same issue with helpful extra info to assist our dealers with please chime in.

Guys, I need your help. Went to the dealership today, and attempted to make the deal. Following the flow chart, I should be eligible for column A and column C for a total of 5,645.

order is a 2 door base.

The salesman is only showing me column A and says nothing else can be done. Am I mistaken? And How do I explain there should be more??

Your dealer will only see Column A (or B) in Smart VINCENT.

The rest of it is Retail Price Protection. Your dealer is supposed to apply the price shown on the DORA Ford sent them. Once your dealer sell it to you and they report the sale, it'll appear in Visions and the invoice price will be adjusted by Ford on the Dealer Payment Statement.

Thanks so much for the reply. I am going back tomorrow with this new information. I hope we can get it sorted out.

I mentioned terms like retail price protection, and they look at me like I’m crazy.

Ragnarkon - How long does it take to see in Visions once the sale is reported and how long does it take to update the Dealers Payment Statement - on an average?

Oooo... that's a good question.

I know it takes roughly 30-50 days for it to appear on the Dealer Payment Statement (it depends when during the month the vehicle was reported as sold). But I don't know the exact timeline. The finance teams handled all of that.

I'm going to shamelessly tag @FordVideoGuy to see if he has an answer to that question.

No shame in that game😬 I appreciate the follow-up. I can see the timeline question coming up more as folks prepare for their deliveries. Side note - I spoke to your sales guy at your Ct. dealer of choice the other day. He had nothing but great words to say about you👍

And just to be clear,
I should expect to pay for the cost of the truck, minus the deduction amount from column A ($3,645).

sometime later, 30-50 days, i expect a check for the retail price protection ($2,000)?

Along the same theme as above, do the window sticker prices match with what is on the DORA or do they show today's MSRP?

Sorry I haven't seen my own window sticker populate yet to check this.

There are documents on here somewhere that you can arm yourself with concerning the Retail PP. Best to be prepared. The dealer has them all but sounds like they are playing dumb to get more money from you. There is no excuse. Retail PP has been the same for years and across models, not just Bronco. You should be protected back to the beginning of the model year if you reordered then. So look at your DORA from when you ordered the 2023. That minus the Private Offer in Smart Vincent is what you should pay.

Depending on when yours was built, you may have either one or two increases of retail PP to get covered. These are for the 2/10 and 3/15 increases. Here is a thread with how the 2/10 amounts came to be.

https://www.bronco6g.com/forum/threads/🔺-2023-bronco-msrp-price-increases-effective-2-10-23.65903/post-1798441

Take a few minutes and watch FordVideoGuy's explanations on the various PP types. Only the Private Offer shows in Smart Vincent. Column c/d are done at the dealer level.

I forwarded the video to where the topic starts. Tim knows his stuff and is a great resource!

It depends how your dealer does it.

The Private Offer Certificate (Column A/B) is money sent from the Ford directly to you the customer—your dealer sees none of it. You and your dealer can agree to take it off the sales price, or you can opt to get a check from Ford.

Retail Price Protection (Columns C/D & the discounts listed for specific pkgs) comes from the dealer. After the sale is made Ford reimburses the dealer after it has been verified as sold to the original order holder. Every dealer I've worked with will take the money off the final selling price of the vehicle.

However, some dealers do not trust Ford to reimburse them, and are unwilling to apply retail price protection until after they receive the adjustment from Ford. If your dealer falls into this camp... your dealer will have to send you the check. The check will not come from Ford.

Window sticker shows the current MSRP at the time the factory invoiced the vehicle.

Thanks for all the information. How can we trust that a dealer will pass this check along to the customers?
