Softop leaking, sport mode questions

Couple of new subjects here. I have a 22 WT. LOVE IT. 12k miles already and doesn’t compare to my past Jeeps!

Issues:
Anyone with softop have water pooling from forward area of rear doors from roof, and naturally drains directly into cabin of front passenger area? If raining, then stopping at drive thru and windows rolled down, water pours in. If getting into the vehicle while raining, opening the front doors allows water to steadily pour into cabin. Ford calls this a normal trait.

Also, when putting it into Sport mode, does it automatically engage 4WD? Seems odd.

Yes that's what happens with the soft top, it is kind of annoying for sure. Although I don't have sport mode I believe it defaults to 4 auto but I believe you can push the 2 high button and you can still have sport mode on.

Yes the water streaming into the front of the doors is a major issue with the soft top. The only solution thus far is something like this

Thanks for the reply. Like the idea of the Mabett Solotions, but man, it’s ugly the way it wraps around the A pillar. Wonder if even that piece is needed?

So far after 16K miles going 2 years now no issues with the soft top and sport mode.

I have the 22 WT also and have not had a whole lot of issues with water pouring into my vehicle like you describe. I do get some drainage issues, nothing major. The design of the soft top isn’t great for channeling water. Sport mode is my preferred mode for driving. The 4A is the default for sport mode. With the advance trac it’s 2WD unless you need the front end to engage, so I just leave it be.

It has to channel the water somewhere, hence the design but I agree

Mine does the same thing with the soft top and Sport mode. I just push up on the top from the inside to drain the water before opening the door or window....solves the water rushing in. The Sport mode does go into 4A automatically, but can be switched to 2H...it also turns off auto start/stop when in Sport mode.

Not just the Bronco. Jeeps do it also.
