Happy Friday, Team Bronco!

I do have a few more questions for my 2023 BB 4 door if/when you have a hot minute to chime in:

1)I have a soft top and travel for work and play so I need to lock my belongings when possible.

This was on a build list:
https://tuffyproducts.com/products/...sjVD1dcDjJYTfvbXpqEaAuElEALw_wcB&sku=755-CUST

Do you recommend it or have other suggestions to offer?

2) What did you do for mud flaps? I understand these are essential for snow/ice and my trips to Tahoe. Likely no off rodeos in my near future.

3) My BB is carpeted and am seeking rubber floor mats to put on top for mud, water, snow etc, Any recommendations?

4). Running boards/ stirrups, considering the latter but I'm OCD about keeping the exterior/interior detailed:

https://www.gorhino.com/i-30506675-dominator-xtreme-d1-side-steps-with-mounting-bracket-kit.html

https://archetyperacing.com/products/ar-magnum-stirrup?variant=43964237545685

5). I've read some awesome threads about sound systems/speakers but I'm no electrical engineer. Considering the sound bar (ford website) or something similar but concerned my soft top may leave it vulnerable to theft. Wondering what your suggestions are?

6). Anything else you can't live without/ recommend that I have not included on this list is welcomed!

I'm flying solo here so any and ALL counsel is greatly appreciated 🙏

RekGen Long (I have Sasquatch) - I run all 4, and did so during my December trip to visit family in Sparks. Tahoe was a fun day, and the RG's were perfect.

3) My BB is carpeted and am seeking rubber floor mats to put on top for mud, water, snow etc, Any recommendations?

I also have a BB and got the (front and rear) rubber floor mats from FORD on my original order. If you have any points saved up, you should be able to get them free or at least at a discount...also have been great. I've taken them out a couple times to give them a decent scrub and there's no deformation or issues getting them in/out, and I haven't had anything "miss" them and land on the carpet yet.

all depends on what you're going to be doing in your truck TBH. If you need a secure storage id look at the lockable safes available.

Some easy calls.
Console Vault is a must for locking stuff.

The @IAG Performance rear struts for the soft top....love these.

I'm a big fan of Go Rhino, but they're a bitch to install. @IAG Performance has bolt on steps now that I might have gotten if they'd been out. I will note that with Go Rhinos, you don't need to worry about mudflaps....they catch most everything.

There's a lot of stuff I couldn't live without, but that's a matter of taste after those things.

Do you recommend it or have other suggestions to offer?

A. Diabolical is a great solution but a bit more pricy. I like that it can be removed in minutes giving you back all your trunk space. it also has a full pass through, something the Tuffy soliton does not.

2) What did you do for mud flaps? I understand these are essential for snow/ice and my trips to Tahoe. Likely no off rodeos in my near future.

A. I think mud flaps are a preference & not a requirement. The choice is yours.

3) My BB is carpeted and am seeking rubber floor mats to put on top for mud, water, snow etc, Any recommendations?

A. Husky X-Act Contour are great & lifetime warranty.

4). Running boards/ stirrups, considering the latter but I'm OCD about keeping the exterior/interior detailed:
https://archetyperacing.com/products/ar-magnum-stirrup?variant=43964237545685

A. I always trip over side steps running boards, but some people swear by them. Those do look nice if your looking for running boards. YMMV

5). I've read some awesome threads about sound systems/speakers but I'm no electrical engineer. Considering the sound bar (ford website) or something similar but concerned my soft top may leave it vulnerable to theft. Wondering what your suggestions are?

A. Sorry no help here as stock is good enough for me.

Really need to see how you want to use your truck which will evolve over time. Just take it slow and it will come together for you.

I'm flying solo here so any and ALL counsel is greatly appreciated 🙏

A.
Go to a few meet ups or search around the forum & see what looks like something you would be interested in and talk to the folks that use it. Ask question about how they use it and if they are happy with it.

Second the Husky liners. I originally ordered the factory floor mats and found they don't extend far enough up the firewall, under the pedals, and the melting snow off my boots left my carpet wet. The factory mats were great in every other way. I just wouldn't recommend them for snowy climates or frequent trips to the boat ramp.

I said this earlier this week and I’ll say it again, OCD will not work with keeping the Bronco’s exterior spotless. The Bronco attracts dirt like it’s getting paid to do so. When you wash the Bronco, the soft top will leave drips down the sides and back and you will be constantly cleaning it. If you can’t control your urges, you will be investing in micro-fiber towels.

I would recommend you look into NFAB side steps. They are inexpensive and cover up the lower body line very well. Had them on the wife’s BB.

Thank you Eric, I will talk to my doctor about my OCD and buy the microfiber towels in the interim. The side steps look good/functional. Do they cover the pinch welds ?

For the sound system, kicker key amps, a subwoofer and replacing the front 4 speakers makes a massive difference.

Wow, Thank you Felix! I so appreciate your thoughtful feedback.

The Diabolical is a great option for ski gear for sure and looks bomber.

The Husky X-Act Contour also look solid and were seconded by 4xFord

I appreciate the insight re: my mileage varying with running boards, a fact I had not considered.

I continue to search the forums and they are a wealth of knowledge. Love your suggestion to go to a meet up, though not sure where I would find them.

Thank you again

I can shed some light on a few of the items you asked - I have some write-up's and pictures on my build journal: https://www.bronco6g.com/forum/threads/604bronco’s-build-journal.27755/ - You can find my input on questions #1, 2, 3, & 6.

I really like my Ford/Tuffy security drawer. Although it takes up some room, it is very sturdy and great for locking some important stuff if I need to (it mostly holds my recovery gear though). Here's a separate write-up specifically for that security drawer: Heres my in-depth review of that security drawer - https://www.bronco6g.com/forum/threads/review-pics-2021-bronco-cargo-area-security-drawer.19580/

If you have any further questions though, let me know.

Thank you, Jeff

The struts look amazing...didn't know that was a thing!

I will check out the other IAG products but good to know the GoRhino may negate the need for mudflaps.

Good to know, Mark

May I ask how much I should budget for to make this magic happen (including install)?
