Yes mine worked out the same way. Zip tied to be safe but can’t see harness from behind vehicle. Just undo 10 mm bolt and makes easy. Unfortunately I had one of the first ones with resistor but now cut and will test tomorrow but in first startups, tow / blis issue didn’t light up.

Super bright, great for price.

Gonna tackle this this weekend. What 10mm bolt are you referring to?

The only one on the front of the pin connector, it holds it in place with hitch. I think it was 10mm, but maybe different size?

@4x4TruckLEDs.com So I took the time to install on my Bronco Raptor this weekend. The removal of the 10mm bolt definitely makes this easier as other users have stated. Should possibly be added to the instructions. Unit is solid and works as described but the previous concern for the BRaptor is still valid.

It’s pretty close to the exhaust pipe on the BRaptor. When mounted as others did in this thread it was a bit uncomfortable so I purchased some heat shield tape that is rated for 400degrees direct and 2k indirect and wrapped the connection prior to using zip ties to secure. This seems like it will hold up but will monitor over time. Pics below!

I received my C1R today from @Diode Dynamics. Real quick install-as others have said the factory tow hitch limits the space for the connectors but it doesn’t take much to route the cables and use the original zip tie anchors. Interesting to see the stock wire wrapped with a heat reflective shield.

Output of the reverse light looks good, need to test it when it gets dark. My order was delayed for a while after the supplier provided sub spec parts but I’m very happy with how DD handled it and maintained communication.

Right now my only issue is that the safety strobe doesn’t work. It just goes solid red when the brake is applied. If anyone has any ideas let me know

The safety storing has a timeout from what I have seen. Try remote starting and if looking at it you will see it strobe quickly. It takes a number of seconds to enable strobe again. It strobes really fast and short duration.

I tested it by using the remote start just now- still no strobe. Just goes solid red immediately.

Since the reverse and brake functions work I’m thinking the harness may be the culprit.

You have to be driving and step on the brake. And then it only happens once every 7 seconds or so

Yup, driveway is long enough to test and also done on the street with observers in both cases. No one has been able to see a strobe

I can literally press the unlock button on the fob after remote starting and see the reverse light strobe. I got mine from @4x4TruckLEDs.com

No issues at all for over 5k miles.

@4x4TruckLEDs.com Any new info on using this with a 4 pin harness? I had to go aftermarket on my hitch. Really like the strobe on the brake light since my first Bronco got rear ended twice, lol.
