Ok, so I know it’s a hard top and soft top, but….

Will the soft top have to be removed before the hard top is put on?

Will the hard top fit over the opened soft top?

I guess we will soon find out.

Just means you get both tops. You have to use each exclusively but you can switch between the two if you have the space to store the one you don't have installed.

I’m guessing that is how Jeep does it also.

Yep I switch out every spring/fall. No problem.
Or PLEASE get both even if you only want the soft top. I will buy your (painted modular) hardtop for 4 dr for twice the difference in msrp from the 2021 order book. I got back $1800 for Givong up what yhey could not provide so willing to shell put $3600 as soon as it arrives ,(unless Ford gets their shit together and offers same to me at similar terms with a warranty.

I got through a Great Lakes winter with soft top only just fine and will do so again. No way I am paying close to $10k for a $2k item

Don’t know of any difference except the middle bracket up top and the small slats on the C-pillar In the sort top. Hard top, would need the washer fluid and power. We have a prep-kit on our 2021.

Anyone know if the dual top option actually gives you the fully retractable soft top? Or is it the trek top that’s available through the Ford accessories catalog that can only function as a sun rider but not fold the whole way down to the back of the vehicle?

To the best of my understanding it is a fully functional soft top such as if you had bought the soft top only option. And as mentioned earlier in the thread, they are mutually exclusive in regards to use, so it is one or the other, not both at any given time.

thank you! I knew it couldn’t be used together, but just wanted to make sure it could retract all the way down to the deck lid.

When you switch them out...do the exterior black trim pieces on the C pillar for the soft top stay on and can you keep the top soft top bracket on and literally just remove the soft top from the side brackets in the cargo area and switch?
