Didn't read through every page but Gen 3 Raptor owner here too and just got a recall notice for wipers issues. Ford won't have the parts to perform the service on my Raptor until Q3 the letter says.

Wrong.
Just because it is -C and not -A, doesn’t mean it’s been updated at all.

As you can see, M2DZ-17508-C has been the ONLY part number since 5/03/21 when the bronco was first built.
As you can see, I changed my post and updated it from this

That is not correct - wiper motor part number is M2DZ-17508-C. Original motor p/n is M2DZ-17508-A.

Since the m2DZ-17508-A is the rear wiper motor, but, I stand by my assertion that the motor HAS been corrected and MY system now functions normally.

Okay. Well like I said, maybe temporarily. But regardless, all I stated was that the part number had never changed, so the module is still identical.

Doubtful....the problem with the part can be fixed (module issue corrected) without having to put a new part number on it.

Lol wrong again.
Part changes, part number changes. That’s how manufacturers keep track of part failures and changes.
What do I know though, only worked at a dealership for the last 15-16 years.
Believe whatever you want.

They wouldn’t reuse a part number if there’s been an engineering revision. Unless it’s some sort of issue from other sources like a manufacturing process or handling of the part that has since been resolved, the part number will change.

So... I brought my Bronco back to the dealer for the wiper issue. The first time they told me they shut off the smart sensing function. Well, that did not solve the problem. Same issue. I brought it back to the dealer. Low and behold they were able to reproduce the problem, which is not too surprising, since the malfunction occurs 95% of the time I use the wipers. They had water running on the windshield and turned the wipers on, and sure enough the wipers went into limp mode even on the low continuous setting. I do not believe it is a rain sensor issue, since a previous poster said if you raise the wipers off of the windshield, it doesn't go into limp mode even with a dry windshield. At first they said it was designed that way to protect the motor, but the service advisor and I agreed that it probably means it was designed to shut off if you run the windshield wipers on a dry windshield, not in a downpour. Just had the windshield wiper motor replaced today. Will have to check to see if it works the next time it rains, but I am hopeful. It already seems to act differently. Previously, when I put the wipers into the slow intermittent settings, the wipers seemed to wipe in slow motion across the windshield. Now it operates at a normal speed across the windshield and pauses in between wipes like every other car I have owned. Will post again after a rain.
Can you test your new wiper motor? Maybe hose the windshield, if there's no rain? I'd love to know if that was a fix for you.

Jumping in here and adding my experience.

I have a '23 Black Diamond. My wiper motor gives me 25 wipes (I've counted many times now) on the continuous setting before dropping itself down to a lower intermittent setting. If anyone has any updates on fixes (forcing dealer to install new wiper motor) or other ideas, I'd sure love to hear them. Thanks!

It is possible that changing the wiper motor fixes the problem. Certainly did for one member here. Possible that a “bad batch“ of wiper motors were produced and the replacement motor was of a different batch. It is also possible that it wasn’t the new motor at all that fixed the problem. Could have been a faulty connection that was fixed due to the act of changing the motor. Or something completely different.

No way of being sure until Ford engineers acknowledge the problem and investigate. And - given how reproducible it is - should be easy to zero in on the cause.

Given the potential dangers of this problem - almost certainly a recall is in our future. In the meantime, all we can do is keep reporting the problem and wait for the recall or TSB..

Which, hopefully will be soon.

Just picked up a 23 Wildtrak and it's doing the same thing. Had to keep cycling back and forth speeds to keep them going fast enough.

What's the fix?

The motor is available "over the counter" for around 120-130 dollars, if my dealer would not replace under warranty, my next solution was going to be to buy the motor, replace it myself and when it corrects the issue, call Ford seeking a refund. We buy all kinds of other goodies for our Bronco's...why not a wiper motor? (and, yes, I agree that it SHOULD be handled by Ford, but in the interest of getting the wipers corrected...)
