One member who is a tech posted that when he heard transmission noise, he checked the fluid and added a 1/3rd of a quart and the noise went away, what if the noise and damage is because of as little as a 1/3 of a quart is missing?I have had one problem that many of my fellow manual transmission owners have. Essentially when our transmissions get cold it makes a grinding/scratching noise.
Jury is still out on whether it is a major problem or not. It definitely seems like it could turn into a major problem. BUT thus far it isn't clear if any actual damage is happening, there have been no failures reported, and I'm still able to drive the Bronco.
So... I guess I would categorize that as a minor problem for now that could potentially be a major problem that could also end up just being an annoying noise?![]()
And no one else is checking that?
I'm getting mine in about three weeks (give or take) and I'm going to request that the dealer check the fluid level right off the bat.
