I'm similar.... 2 dr BaseSquatch at #34 at my dealer but #4 as far as Base model. Fingers crossed!

How does Ford usually schedule..... is it likely a Base has a chance of being scheduled almost every week from now on, or just every once in a while?

Each week is different or potentially different. They do schedule in batches. So like this week (scheduling for wk 10) are Heritage and base series as well as manuals. So depending on allocations at your dealership, Ford will look to see which broncos fit that build schedule, and select accordingly. I currently am allocated 4 this week, but none fit those guidelines. I will not have any broncos selected this week.

It's true if your current order is a base 2-door without lux/sas. Because in that case, you have nothing to drop, to be eligible for the $2500.

Also, even if you do have lux/sas to drop from the 2-door, while you can then be eligible for the $2500, I suspect that is a losing bet. Realistically that 2-door will not get delivered in 2023, and you won't get that $2500.

If you want any reasonable shot at a 2023 Bronco, you will likely need to switch from 2-door to 4-door soft top.

My thought is, if I have to get a 4-door soft top Big Bend to get a Bronco, what's the point.

He seemed to initially say this. Then he changed it saying he did not know if they were at capacity. I think he got mixed up with Everglades.

Though, this could be a good strategy. If they are going to build a certain amount of Heritage models anyway, maybe this is a way one could get a Sasquatch. MIC will not be an issue. Hopefully they can build the MOD tops.

IIRC he also stated that switching over to a HE wasn't an option for those getting rid of their sins. i.e. switching from WT to HE to keep the Sasquatch.

I'm going to watch the video again, lots was covered of the do's and don'ts but pretty sure that a couple of times he stated that HE's were not constrained at the moment from the two questions that he answered from me.

I actually drove a BB 4dr soft top auto 2.3l, and stock tires at an off-road event in the rain/mud. It had the stock setup, no SAS pkg. That thing was so solid in those conditions, I was really happy with how it performed. 6-10 inches of mud at times, up/down hill scenarios, side hills, etc. It was solid and performed very well.

With that being said, I have a non Sas Black Diamond on order because I want the MGV, washout floors, rear locker and whole vehicle bash plates underneath. If I didn't want some of these features, I'd have no issue getting the Big Bend.

Completely normal. Typically they will have one designated Bronco specialist (at a small dealer it may be the sales manager) who got the info and needs to disseminate it to the entire sales crew.

I think I'm in same dealer line as you, and also way back in line. I don't believe my 2-door base (with no deadly sins) is showing up in 2023 (or ever for that matter). Our dealer is saying switch to 4-door, the video guy was basically saying same thing, as have others.

While technically Ford is saying 2-door customers can stay in the game and be eligible for the $2500 even with a hardtop, count me as suspicious. I think that bet is a losing one for many folks. Consider some guys way further up in line from us, were told switch to 4-door for a decent shot at 2023.

Based on what I was told, they said that staying 2 door was ok. If they change their minds (at Granger), I may jump to the 4 door. My girlfriend really wants the hardtop more than she wants a 4 door.

If suddenly, we have to jump to a 2 door soft top because Ford magics it into existence or have no other choice but the more door, we will make a decision.

I was given conflicting advice on Monday as to the 2 door vs 4 door issue. So I am waiting to see what shakes out. We would prefer to have a hard top over a soft top, she's ok with 2 or 4 doors, mostly because I already have a 2 door.

If I don't get built, I will be buying something different and you can pretty much bet it won't be a Ford. So if Ford wants my money, then they will build it, if not, I am cool with that too. I jumped through all the required hoops.

Don't get me wrong. I'm sure it's a great vehicle. I'm also using that as a placeholder for the types of vehicles that are being suggested in order to secure a delivery. It's just not what I want. And, I don't think those are going to be in high demand in the used market given that's what everyone is being pushed to.

When I was a kid, no one wanted 4-door cars. Then, is seems like everyone wanted one. I've had my fair share of them over the years. Now that I have more flexibility, I'm trying to drive 2-door vehicles if possible. Life is too short to drive boring cars.

I gotta admit, I enjoyed reading all the tinfoil hat theories about Ford going out of their way to screw over reservation holders, lose customers, and embarrass themselves in front of shareholders.... just to make a couple bucks.

If Sasquatch shortage truly is due to tire availability, unfortunately Ford can't just "find another supplier". Both NHTSA and the EPA would have some issues with them factory equipping tires that haven't been safety/economy tested. Otherwise, every manufacturer would do the MPG test on the lightest, cheapest, baldest ½-ply tires they could find before slapping on the biggest Dick Crushers the factory can provide.

Heated steering wheel and adaptive cruise can both be retrofitted, but it'll cost $$$

Adaptive Cruise control is pretty affordable to retrofit.

official. Ford will be sending out communications soon. As far as your dealer, thats on them. Contact them, to see what they recommend. Will be different for each person and each dealership.
