No more 2023MY scheduling for hardtops, Sasquatch and LUX (reported by dealership)

Adding Everglades and Heritage to the other trims was a mistake. They should've streamlined the lineup and options instead of bloating it further.

Yes I've said all a long cut back to 3 trim levels and offer more options across the board with out having to go up a trim level to get a specific option. Much like the f150 used to be XL,XLT and Lariat.

Flip, at best, the info from Chapman is misleading. Not sure who you spoke with, but I was on the call, it was made clear that they're still building with those options, but they are constrained. Ford is not balancing out those options yet.

Correct. Didn't say they were going to stop building them but there's obviously an issue that is constricting their ability to build these specific vehicles. In retrospect I should've updated my original posts to reflect but felt the general information she communicated was correct. I've seen the PP.

Did you see a national controls attachment on 12/27? If so, what do you make of the side notes for EG, Base and BL optional wheels?

if I keep Badlands but give up SAS what besides coilovers, gears, wheels/tires, front lockers, wide flares would I be giving up?

just swaybar disconnect?

The OP information from Horsham is incorrect. Ford is not done scheduling those options is apparently the correct message. IOW, If you have those options, you are still waiting for Thursday still.

I was about to go look at a 4Runner again if that had been true.

PS - like our 900 day folks, a bit annoyed at scheduling. I am only June 2021 and the schedule the same thing for folks with reservations 6-10 months after me in the spreadsheets. I can see why the 2020 res holders are PO'ed.

There are constraints, but Ford is not stopping production on those options, that's what Chapman is saying.

I recall you mentioning this before. If it's true, I'll have near zero chance of getting a 2 dr Base, with or without Sas after March. correct?

Do you think Ford is doing this due to the slim profit margin on the Base? I can't imagine there's a shortage of vinyl steering wheels or non-tinted rear windows.

Non sas still has front locker and is .46 inches lower. Manual tranny still has 4.70 gears auto non sas has 4.46. The swaybar disconnect stays either way. So mostly wheels and tires and wide flares

It sounds like this is a smart decision if you want to keep price protection and previously had an auto Badlands. My concern is the orders that were Badlands manuals mid package which you can't get in Black Diamond for some dumb reason.

Is 2.7L motor under constraint? I haven't seen that posted anywhere else.

My guess as good as anyone else's as far as whats holding up what. The BL has more tech than the BD and is a significant price increase over the two in a MID SAS. If a majority of orders are for the 2.7, there is a good chance they're missing something to complete a build. I bet you would have a better chance with at a 2.3 getting built because it's not higher in demand.

That tech needs parts that they don't have, and they're actually telling us this. I'm guessing that they build mine because they had the parts my BD build, but they didn't have all parts for someone's BL build. Why hold the parts waiting on a BL when you can shoot a BD version out the factory door? They do it too keep things moving along, and will build the higher trims when they get the parts they need. Regardless, it will probably have to be broken In over at dirt mountain lol!

I know it frustrating because your not going to get what you originally orderd, but you can save some money by dropping tech and more power. It gives you a better chance of being a chosen one lol.

Give up the upgraded suspension, gears, wheels/tires, and flares. I would not consider the wheels/tires a a big lose. the stock BL gears do ok with 35's if you upgrade from the 33's. The SAS tires have had many people commenting on being puncture magnets, soft causing lugs to tear, and rock throwers. If you really like their looks just buy one of the many sets of takes offs, that should tell you what people think of them.

Don't know. The notes on EG and Base were ominous but I could just be misreading them. Now that Ford has spilled the beans I'd be concerned about the build but wouldn't say no chance of getting built but could depending on how the allocation changes.
