Bought it but ended up returning it. Didn’t feel like cutting the OEM harness

has anyone done it?
Looking for help, thinking of replacing mine. OEM Bronco has 16pin connector - you only need 3 wires to run something like this: https://www.ebay.com/itm/265457130544?hash=item3dce7a5c30:g:ploAAOSwSYFhvJqc
I just installed one. I used T taps to avoid cutting the harness. Need to get a cloth tube that is wider than what comes on it to hire the block.

I was really missing the Homelink after having it in my last 5 cars, especially knowing I would otherwise be leaving the cargo (garage remote included) so exposed with no top/doors.

can you take a picture of the install? How did you identify the wires?

Yeah, I will get some when I clean things up. Wires were trial and error. Found where the maverick or F150 had the same color wires, but they were not the same… so unfortunately I had to tap all three to get it right. I’ll include which wires are which (thinking it was white ground and black power) when I post pictures.

There isn’t a lot of space in the overhead console without dismantling it, and I had a tough time stuffing the two harness blocks in the sleeve while avoiding a bunch of hanging wires, but overall not terrible, IMO. Wired it with white to hot and black to ground.

Just thought I would add what I got for my mirror upgrade even though I don't have my Bronco yet. I ordered the Black Diamond with MID pkg. So mine comes with both the dimming Rearview Mirror and the light up Sun Visor.

-I got a typical Gentex-453 dimming Homelink Mirror from Ebay that was from another car but it has the 10pin plug on the back of the mirror.

-I found Bobsmirrors.com since he makes a harness you can plug-n-play. See the link below. **You should email him to confirm which options you need to choose for your specific mirror so he can use the correct plugs/wires for your setup.
https://www.bobsmirrors.com/Custom-Mirror-Adapter-Harness_p_1650.html

**Tip: the Bronco has a 16 Pin plug with the Auto-Dimming mirror
Total for mirror and plug harness +shipping = around $80

Pricey alternative, but cheaper than order LUX. Bought the visor

Did you install this on your 2022 Badlands? Trying to find a solution for my 2023 Black Diamond to remove the need to carry around the garage door opener remote.
