Did they let you take it to continue to drive?Dropped ours off last night for transmission noise. Got the call this morning it falls under the TSB but they said the parts might take two months to get. Sheesh.

They offered for me to take it or do a loaner. They are looking into what loaners they have and I'm waiting to hear back.Did they let you take it to continue to drive?
So from what im gathering we should just all tell our dealers to break the mount on the transmission and we will get a new one thrown in right away vs waiting months for a TSB that has no available parts or confirmation if it'll permanently fix the issue. Why even issue the TSB if you aint ready to perform it on 75% of the 7MTs?Dropped ours off last night for transmission noise. Get it on video next time you hear it so you can prove it and have documentation. Drive it slow in 1st and second. like 5-10MPH .... Do you hear the noise then? I've noticed when warmer the warmup noise goes away but that initial couple minutes of driving, coasting in gear so forth and the noise is still there and can be heard at slow speeds. sounds like dragging something/scrapping.so this morning it was considerably warmer here, 50 degrees @ 4:30
I went out to the truck, cranked it up & no evil marble / rock sounds. I checked in with my dealer and they have not heard of the issue or the TSB but I am sending him the thread link so he can read up. I will continue to drive the truck and hold off for just a bit before I take the truck to the dealer. We have cooler weather coming in next week and I will check again for the noises and post what I hear
Well a new transmission isn’t “fixing” the noise either, comes back within a few hundred miles from what multiple posters have said.So from what im gathering we should just all tell our dealers to break the mount on the transmission and we will get a new one thrown in right away vs waiting months for a TSB that has no available parts or confirmation if it'll permanently fix the issue. I did recorded the sound the first morning I heard it, the recording is inside the truck and under it.Get it on video next time you hear it so you can prove it and have documentation. That's correct for the most part. I do believe I read of at least one person though that it did work on however most seem to report it coming back quickly. I'm just being a smarta$$. At least something would be getting doneWell a new transmission isn’t “fixing” the noise either, comes back within a few hundred miles from what multiple posters have said.

hoy many miles on the new unit?Hasn’t come back YET.
I’m not the person who got the replacement, I have just heard enough stories that I know it is exceedingly likely the noise will return. Not if, but when.hoy many miles on the new unit?
I saw what you did there!I’m not the person who got the replacement, I have just heard enough stories that I know it is exceedingly likely the noise will return. Not if, but when.
Good job on the recording. That's exactly how mine sounds. It does not go away when dropping over into 6th position.Great video capturing the noise & different scenarios it appears in!
I had mine replaced and it came back after about 600 miles or soGot mine back today after the TSB went sideways due to mount break on the case. New transmission installed.
2642 miles around noon pickup, outside temp 46 degrees. No noise detected.
I'll report back in the AM with out overnight lows around 23 degrees.
