IIRC the shadow behind the baby bronco is the final design. The tarp is not.

What is your source? I haven’t heard that one..
I just saw Carmaker say a couple days ago that the design was locked almost two years ago. The tarp image was released almost two years ago.
Seems odd that Ford would release an official tarp teaser that would NOT be accurate right before or at the same time the design got locked.

I actually hate the hood on the shadow teaser by the way.

Looking back I may actually be wrong, that tarp teaser was from 2 years ago not 3. Not sure, because the tarp pic and the shadow are definitely a bit different. The shadow is newer so if there are any changes then it would be more reflected there.

Nick...the BOF guys seem a little more open with opinions & I know you post there. Why not put up both silhouettes & see what they say?

I look at shadows for reference about as much as I try to find faces in my Cheetos.
That shadow shows me absolutely nothing. I have never spent more than about 3 seconds even looking at it until now.
If you were to actually use that shadow for reference, you would find that the Bronco comes standard with a wavy hood, a sun visor and a pizza cutter spare tire. I’ll stick to the tarp image for my motivation...

I asked the guy over there all he replied is “retractable” so I assume if you retract the tarp you get the shadow?

The 2 look distinctly different to me...minor rake difference on windshield...but also the shadow's roof is a much larger proportion of LOA than the tarp's. I guess its possible the tarp is 2-door & the shadow is 4?

"I don't think anyone would have wanted to see what was under that tarp by the way... Think Friends Season Six Episode 5, The One With Joey's Porsche." Per @ChrispyKC

I watched the scene and it's a bunch of boxes under a tarp in Friends.

I’m super curious about this. 112” wheelbase is really good for off-roading. Almost splits the difference between an LJ and JL 4-door. Seems a bit short for a full rear door. Really curious how that’s going to work.

(for those who haven't read the original info)

same BOF source commenting on the C&D renders: "Bronco is going to have a much shorter wheelbase than the Wrangler, that means the rear door is going to go over the rear wheel dogleg. If that feature is not right, then the rest of the CGI gets messed up."

I still think this one below is the real deal. It ticks off all the features of the tarp. Zoom in on the side mirror - notice how large it is , squared and retro. Now take a look at the tarp image - notice how pronounced the tarp hangs off the side due to a large side mirror.
