But seriously, great work @'21OBX!

I think it is something oracle could do (switchback style) and then @StickerFab with some kind of OEM plug/tap.

Oracle did have a conversation with me but did not seem interested as they are working on a similar product that will fit their own mirrors./caps they sell currently. He did have some insight on how I can accomplish this and keep my factory spots and it was a good conversation. Probably need more people than the few here to get them to start thinking about it more.

StickerFab has not responded to me at all.

In the original video from the company installing their raptor style light. They have clear lenses and amber signals flashing. They are over seas. I don’t have access to any part numbers. It maybe way easier if we could buy the ford parts.
someone did list the raptor lights but then you lose the spot as well and they were north of $150 per light.
I’m thinking an overlay until I get time to disassemble my mirror and see if I can open the light up and add Amber led’s inside. Then I would just run a separate wire out to the connector and have turn signals and spots.

Sorry I'm late to the party. In general if anyone hasn't heard back from me in a while we had a family emergency and didn't get to celebrate Christmas or New Year 😭.

Anyways if there is enough interest I may be able to figure out a new lamp with two sets of LEDs. One being amber and the other white. Three inputs. OE, aftermarket for manually overriding the OE, and turn inputs.

There are also wide angle mirror lenses we could do with turn indicators in them.

Man so many things and so little time in the day.

The email I sent was just asking for overlays. To get things rolling. At least on my Bronco the wires are there and functional for the turn signal. So just one wire needs to be added and ran to where the mirror plugs in. There is some in the light for sure I haven’t disassembled one yet to have a good look

For overlays, you could find that on Amazon or eBay... Some translucent amber vinyl.

There would definitely be room for some amber LEDs to be added. I agree in that I wouldn't want to lose the white light entirely just for turn signals.

So... Why not both? Seems like the best option. 🤷‍♂️

Yeah i don’t really understand what is going on to be honest. 21, 22 and 23 all have different wring diagrams for the power mirrors. 2021’s show turn signals controlled directly by the PDM, DDM. 2022’s show it controlled only by the BCM, and 2023’s show it controlled by the BCM and splits off to the DDM/PDM now. I’m so confused 😂
Wow, OK I know the spot lights don't leave the Door Modules on my 21, and betting the Puddles don't either, I didn't even look for the Puddle or Turn on them.. I was going by what we now know is the 22 Wiring diagram and assumed the Turn was coming from the BCM. I'll try and check them today to see where what is there is coming from.. But I guess it doesn't really make much of a difference..

Our Badlands only has two wires. Ground and positive. Meaning no turn signal unless it really is controlled by a BCM or something.

Can you double check?

the wires are not on the mirror side of the connector. They are on the body side for the turn signal.

It’s in the cart lol. Eventually tho I want to retain the white spots and have the indicators in the clear housing.

Yeah, just cut it for a half/half look? Half clear, half amber? That is, until someone makes a switchback...

There’s room and moving the spots out to the outer edge would make them more useful. Or if they were setup Amber/white amber/white evenly throughout the entire length of the light I think would work nice.

When all this is figured out could someone do a write up on how this is all accomplished from start to end please?

That's quite a challenge, Unfortunately... Seems like it's got a lot of things that are going to be trim, year and package specific, With the 2023 High package being simple, and 2021 base/mid requiring the most work, and additional wiring..

Your 22 Lux is probably going to be one of the easier ones, I'm guessing all you want is to add some turn signals? You should already have Puddles and Spots, right?

Yes I have spots and puddles.

All I care for is turn signals and puddles. The Spots are honestly of no use for me.

Yes I would love to have both spots and turn signals, but I would sacrifice the spots for turn signals!
