Previously had Mountains to Metal dual ditch light brackets on the FE. Wasn’t a fan of the way the lights angled in towards the center of the hood. Decided to replace them with the new 4 Wheel Parts A-Pillar light Mount kit. New and old pics below.

Make sure to tape Off around the Bronco bolt locations to avoid scratching the mount surface.

Definitely an improvement in my opinion. Aside from the ugly 4WP logo that is…..
Regarding the Mountains to Metal brackets- what was forcing the lights to aim towards the center of the hood? Can the lights not be angled as desired with the mounting screw?

I like the look of the 4WP model- but all the reviews about the bronzing are really turning me off

Thanks

Nope, they were angled in towards the hood and not level. You can change the direction of the lights to aim straight out or angled as ditch lights. My issue was when the Bronco bolts were tightened it angled the bracket.

These, despite the bronzing, are better. I’ve got a replacement set sitting at 4WP waiting for me to pick them up. First stop is to have the cerakoted gloss black, eliminating the 4WP logo.

Did they replace under warranty?
If so I’ll try and get a set to replace mine as well. I’m with you - get them cerakoted.

Finally got around to picking up the new set. They let me take them so I could have the new ones cerakoted before installing and returning the first set that bronzed. Going to swap this weekend but in keeping with my Oklahoma State homer theme, my buddy at Oil Capital Coatings hooked these up. When he went to blast them he said it was cheap paint with a clear shot over the top.

Installed, before and after. I should give a shout out to the Tulsa 4WP store for taking care of the replacements and allowing me to take them, have them cerakoted, and installed prior to returning the originals. Also, if you’re in the NE Oklahoma area and are considering anything custom, whether it’s power coating or Cerakoting, reach out to Eric at Oil Capital Coatings https://instagram.com/oilcapitalcoatings?igshid=Zjc2ZTc4Nzk= . Absolutely phenomenal vision and creativity, coupled with fantastic quality!

I called the customer service line at 4 wheel parts to get my set returned and exchanged as they are equally orange. They announce how many callers are in the queue ahead of you - when I dialed in at 1:00 in the afternoon there were 47 callers ahead of me. I stayed on the phone for an hour and a half. Left the speakerphone sitting on my desk cause I was doing other work. Their crack customer service team handled only 12 callers in 90 mins. Unbelievable. A national chain that probably has two people working the phones.
Poor quality products, terrible customer service both in the stores and on the phones, is why I will never do business with them again.
Tomorrow morning I’m taking the old ones off and having them powder coated at a local place. They’ll do it for 50 bucks and I’ll be done with 4 wheel parts forever. Good riddance.
